Black Sparring Block
Combat, Physical
Endurance: 0
Power: Stop a physical attack. Reveal the top 3 cards of your life
deck. You may put any Masked attacks revealed in those cards into
your hand. Put the rest at the bottom of your Life Deck in any
order. Remove from the game after use.
Alrighty, after a few weeks of random cards and what not, we are
back on the track of LES. Todays card is one of the better black
style cards, so lets hop to it. Or rather, break it down ;)
It s a block, meaning it could be useful, especially as it isn t an
event and doesn t stop any attack, meaning it can stop focused
attacks and can t be TES d. That s a plus. But the effect makes it
worth running. Seriously, with the look at top 6 rule, you can have
some serious fun. Let s see, I ll draw these 2 cards and my Sparring
Block, enter, laugh at your physical, get the top 3, etc. The effect
basically can make or break the game. And with the amount of masked
attacks Black gained, one combat with just one of these could easily
be game. Of course, there are some draw backs. Odds are, masking
decks use Concealed Mastery which usually means more Freestyle
attacks than it does Black style. That said, they should be using
some masked attacks anyways, so its up to you. I do like the extra 3
cards, but having to stop to gain it and the fact that regardless of
how much masking black got, most of it isn t used, I just don t see
this card gaining a whole lot of serious play. I mean, IMO, it
should be run in every Black Beats just for that extra card or 2. Or
3. That s me though
Expanded: 3/5 (It s got some potential here, but the common Black
Theme is Uub Concealed. That usually means freestyle nuff said)
Focused: 4/5 (It s a block and there are more Masked Black attacks
used. Cheers)
Sealed: 2/5 (It s a block Run it anyways even though you rarely will
use it to full potency)
