The new Saiyan Style Mastery is one of the more "beefy" Masteries we've got to choose from. It lets you draw a card when entering any Combat, and if the card you draw is Saiyan, you show it to your opponent and and they lose 4 power stages, to a minimum of 0, of course. The reason Gohan is in here, instead of a stronger Saiyan, is because his power is a physical attack +4, which really helps you get your opponent down to 0, maximizing the amount of damage you will be dealing them. Almost half of our deck is composed of Saiyan cards, so your Mastery's second ability will go off most of the time.
Getting your opponent down to 0 will be a very easy task, which basically doubles the amount of physical damage you would be dealing your opponent if he were at a higher power stage. But, physical attacks aren't the only thing we've got going for us. This deck has plent of energy attacks as well, dealing plenty of life cards of damage, which allows you to steal Dragon Balls from your opponent, making their Dragon Ball Victory harder to achieve.
Besides all of this damage we will be dealing, we've got plent of cards to help disrupt our opponent. Saiyan Truce Card, Saiyan Appraisal Maneuver, and Saiyan Battle Terms help with the Mastery, and provide us with a varied amount of disruption. We've also got Confrontation which allows us to select a card from our opponent's hand and shuffle it back into his deck. Then, we've also got An Amusing Trick to help deal with ally decks, since we will keeping our opponent around 0, which is perfect for your opponent's Ally deck. This is definitely one of the strongest Survival-based decks in the format right now, so be prepared to see a lot of it in the tournament scene.
