Namekian Deck Review from SuperSaiyanTrunks

1.24.05  Some of my friends are saying that Namekian Decks are losing their touch. When the DBZ TCG first came out, the base set had only one Namekian as a personality. Of course, tht was Piccolo. After that came the Namekian/Frezia Saga. Since those battles pretty much took place on Planet Namik, those sets had all sorts of Namekian Cards. It brought out more stuff for Piccolo, Neil, Dende, and a VERY rare card, Guru. Thsi set did not have a lot for the Saiyans, just a one personality for Goku, Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta. Frezia and his henchmen were in this set a lot, so it was pretty much a Namekian/Evil pack. (Good for you players who play a Namkian or a Villian Decl ;-)). Then after all that, came the Trunks Saga and the Android Saga. The Trunks Saga pack had a few Namekian cards, but the Android Saga had a bunch. This set came with Kami, and the Ultra Rare card known as Piccolo, The Powerful Namekian. That card was when Piccolo and Kami fused. But, in order to get him out, you need the card known as Namkian Fusion. (Take a wild guess what that does). And in case you are wondering, no, you do not need Namkian Fusion to fise Piccolo and Neil together. (I am not even sure if there is a card of Piccolo and Neil fused together).

Anyway, after the Android packs came the Cell Saga pack. More Namkian cards came out, incuding some to help out Dende. There were some really good ones, but I do not remember them right now. After the Cell Saga pack, came The Cell Games pack. Not as much Namkian Card came outh there, but there were a few staples. I used to run a Namekian Deck, but when the Buu and the GT packs came out, less and less Namekian cards came out, so that is when I decided to switch to Saiyan. There is only one Namekian cards that I remember came ot in the Fusion Saga, and that was "Namekian Door Explosion". (Yes, there was a card with Piccolo on it called "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!", but I don't think that card was to help out Namekians). The the GT packs came out. I did not see any Namekian cards there, and then in the next set, the Super Android 17 Set, I saw a new personality for Piccolo. It was pretty good, but it didn't change my mind about going back to Namekian Decks. I have not seen too many of the Shadow Dragon or the Lost Episodes expansions yet, so I'm not too sure there are any Namekian cards there. Infact, I can say boldly that there are only a few, if not any. The reason I say this is that Piccolo died in the SUper 17 Saga, and did not come back to life.

If you think Namekian decks are still good, I would like to hear what you think about them. Send me an email to DBZreviewer@yahoo.com, and I may post what you think.
