Dragon Ball Episode 124
"The Holy Temple in
the Clouds"
Previously: After
defeating Piccolo Daimioh, Goku and Yajirobe went to
Karin
Tower, where Goku was told
of a way that he could bring Shenlon back to life,
by going to the creator of
the Dragon Balls, Kami-sama. Goku needed Nyoibo to
get to Kami, but he didn't
have it, so he went down to Earth, to look for it.
Goku soon found Nyoibo at
Kame House, and went back toward Karin Tower.
Meanwhile, the child of
Piccolo Daimioh, Piccolo Junior, was born...
-Goku flies back to Karin
Tower on Kintoun, with Nyoibo in hand. Karin tells
Goku to follow him to the
roof. Goku, Karin, and Yajirobe climb up to the
roof of the tower, and
Karin tells Goku to firmly place Nyoibo in the slot at
the top of the tower. Goku
places Nyoibo in the slot, and Karin says that all
Goku has to do is simply
extend Nyoibo, and ride it up to Kami-sama's palace.
Karin gives Goku a bell,
which will allow him to see Kami-sama. Goku is ready
to leave, when Yajirobe
asks if Kami-sama would really accept the rags that
Goku is wearing. Karin
says that it won't matter, since his clothes will be
torn anyway, from the test
that he has to take. Karin tells Goku not to
worry, as he won't die.
Yajirobe says that doesn't sound very reassuring.
Karin and Yajirobe wish
Goku luck, as he extends Nyoibo, and rides it upward,
into the sky. Yajirobe
hopes that Goku will be okay, and Karin says he should
be. As he rides upward,
Goku vows that he will revive KameSennin, Kuririn,
and Chaozu.
-Meanwhile, at Kame House,
Lunch (evil form) finishes putting some bandages
on Tenshinhan, and he
thanks her. Oolong teases them about being in love,
which causes them both to
blush. Lunch chases Oolong around with her gun in
anger. On TV, a news
reporter says that the boy who defeated Piccolo
Daimioh
will be awarded the Blue
Star Medal, from the King of the World, which is the
greatest honor in the
world. Everyone wonders where Goku can be. The
doorbell
rings, and a news crew
rushes in, saying they heard that the boy that
defeated Piccolo Daimioh
was reported to come here. Oolong thinks that Goku
is so lucky for being
famous, and he imagines Goku being surrounded by many
girls, who want his
autograph. Oolong gets an idea, and walks away,
walking
back in, having
transformed into Goku. Oolong asks the female reporter
to
kiss him, and if he can
see her panties. Bulma sees behind this trick, and
she bashes him with a
mallet, making him return to normal.
-Meanwhile, Goku continues
riding Nyoibo upward, when he starts getting
constantly struck by
lightning.
-Meanwhile, in the woods,
at night time, little Piccolo is wandering around,
when he comes across a
house. He observes a family celebrating their son's
birthday. The boy blows
out the candles on his cake, and recieves a toy
airplane as a present.
Piccolo is angered by these events, and he throws a
rock, shattering a window.
The family rushes outside to see who did it (the
father has a rifle), but
Piccolo is already in the house. Piccolo trashes the
birthday cake and the toy
airplane, and rushes out of the house. The family's
dog chases Piccolo, who
trips, and is terrified as the dog lunges at him.
Piccolo suddenly blasts
the dog away. Piccolo is amazed at his own power.
-Meanwhile, Goku continues
to ride Nyoibo upward, as he continues getting
struck by lightning. He
finally rides out of the storm, as he can now see the
floating platform of Kami-sama's
palace in the distance. Nyoibo connects with
the slot at the bottom of
the platform, and Goku begins climbing a ladder up
to the palace.
-Back down at Karin Tower,
Karin tells Yajirobe that Goku will fall over when
he sees Kami-sama's face.
Yajirobe asks if the face is that bad, and Karin
says that it is also a
familiar face.
-Back at Kami-sama's
palace, Goku reaches the top, and is amazed by what he
sees. Goku spots Mr. Popo,
and introduces himself, asking if he is Kami-sama.
Mr. Popo replies that he
is not, he is Mr. Popo, Kami's servant. Mr. Popo
states that Goku defeated
Piccolo Daimioh, and Goku asks how he knew. Popo
says that Kami knows
everything. Goku asks if he can meet Kami, and Popo
asks
for the bell. Goku shows
him the bell, and Popo says that he must now fight
him, to gain permission to
meet Kami. Goku agrees, thinking it should be
easy. They both agree to
keep fighting until one of them gives up. Goku
fades, but Popo easily
finds him, and punches him away. Goku says it was just
a coincidence, and he
rushes at Popo with a punch, but gets punched in the
face. Popo says Goku is
weak, asking if he really beat Piccolo Daimioh. Goku
is angered, and he attacks
again, but Popo dodges each attack, and punches
Goku away. Goku grabs onto
a tree, swings around, and leaps back at Popo with
a kick, but Popo catches
him by the foot, and hurls him back to the ground.
They are being watched on
a crystal ball by a mysterious figure in the
palace. Popo is surprised
that Karin actually let Goku come here, and says he
can't see Kami. Goku is
even more angered, and he charges, and fires a
KameHameHa, which Popo
simply swallows. Goku tries a barrage of punches, but
Popo blocks them, so he
leaps away. Goku says that he will now use the punch
that defeated Piccolo
Daimioh, as he leaps at Popo, charging ki into his
fist
for a punch. Popo easily
leaps over the punch. Popo says that Goku has
amazing power, but he
isn't using it at all, and tells Goku to go back home.
Next time: Goku might just
be able to meet Kami-sama, but how...?
