Sundarsu's Deck Theory

5.03.02  Some may believe the art of deck building has been mastered. I have one simple and short message for all of you, it has not. I have not seen one deck completely master the style of another deck. That is why I am typing this:

Never have I seen the perfect deck, of course there are those few exceptions that win the humongous tourneys and Tuff Enuff Events. Those decks are either pure strategy and got extremely lucky or pure strategy and extremely, well lucky. Even that deck can’t win EVERY game. Those decks are only tourney winners when they have the ability to beat only the decks at the tourney location. They have not beaten every deck every person has. It will not win every battle, no matter how good.

Only a superb deck from the distant future, after Cell Games and possibly after the last Saga. The perfect deck will consist of an unbelievable amount of the rarest cards ever made obviously, also an unbelievable amount of the best cards ever. I believe this deck will have the capability to win almost any game. But they will not win every game, therefore destroying the idea of a perfect deck. Below I have given ratings of decks I have seen played and how well they did.

Dragonball – Although not used often, an amazing deck to use. It was GohanSaiyanElite from the DBZ Fanatics Ladder League introduced me to this deck. I had never seen this type of deck before this match. Combining the ability to stop combat and stop Non-Combat, to stop you from attacking and get the DBs in quickly.

Physical Beatdown – Most often used by Saiyan Style and Black Style, but now Red Style with the addition of CS. This deck is also a great deck to use; it takes the power out of those pure energy decks that will destroy you. It also can deal out life cards of damage. I have tested these type of decks over and over. No Blocks and all also attacks also works very well, for how bad it sounds. These decks will flourish as more powerful physical come out.

Energy Beatdown – Orange is the Tokui-Waza that comes to mind. Krillin also, nowhere have I seen an orange deck that can beat around just about any other deck. Physical decks are about the only deck that can stand up to 1. Now with Orange Halting Drill and Orange Leg Drill, it kind of destroys the point. Another energy deck is about the only deck that can stand up to an energy deck. Red Style has a total of 6 energy blocks, 6!? Of course there are Omni-Blocks that will stop energy attacks. Those work just well themselves though. DB decks are now becoming a problem, with 18 and DDBs. Especially since DDBs cant be removed from the game, if you ever have a problem with such cards as “The Eyes Have It.” You can just keep Concentration Drill or Meditation Drill to keep your deck just the way it should be.

Physical/Energy Beatdown – This deck has easily become dominated by the Black Style Mastery. Of course with CS out Black Style is more disruption too, but never the less it is the only deck that can use both and achieve victory. A strong personality with a high PUR fits the requirements for this decks personality. The most often used was Freiza, but with the expansion of CS it can be used by 16 as a disrupt deck. This deck will have amazing potential as more and more sets come into the environment, although it was majorly left out of CS.

Disruption – Probably most used with Villains, and Black Style Mastery of CS. This deck can obliterate any deck that isn’t ready to stop the cards it uses. Lots of TES and Combat stopping cards to get through combat while dealing damage. 18’s Stare Down obviously the most used card of this deck. It’s all about recycling it back into play and keeps using it to destroy what your opponent has left.

I believe that’s about it, although I will not stop rambling I will not stop complaining.

I am… Annoying :-D See y’all later.
