OK, so now that we have that out of the way we can move on. You build a web site to promote something that you really enjoy. The purpose is usually to educate others on something that you love.

Now when you create a web site you either want to have a new idea or take an old idea and do it better than anyone has ever done it. Actually I am going to revert to the process I used in an editorial I wrote a while back, but never put on the internet (well, actually I lost it :) ). So now read on to learn some great tips

You Know Things Have Gone Horribly Wrong When You Do This

1. The name of the web site is very important, but you know things have gone horribly wrong when you do this. You take your name, my name is Andy so I will give you an example. Ex. Andy's Dragonball Z Website. Another thing not to do is name your site Gokuh's Dragonball Z web page. Not many people have pulled this off. Two of the people were VegettoEX and SREDBZ who's site's are still amazing. Like the saying goes do not read a book by its cover. Still though take my tips. Here are a few other names that you should not use because they have been used many times and with each of these a major site has emerged Dragonball Z Extreme, Planet Vegita, and Planet Namek. So be careful, the name is very important.

2. Now here is the next part that doesn't have anything to do with the content of the page. Now this is going to be two tips in one. The first part of the tip is to create a good design. Please do not create a page with animated GIFs all over it. They take forever to load and usually they are just taken from other sites. This is the biggest tip that says "Hey, I'm a page pirate!!". Also do not make your opening image ridiculously large, I’m not sure what to say about that, just use your good judgment. Now also You know when things have gone horribly wrong when the colors for you page are pink and yellow. That just hurts people's eyes and will be target for more that your fare share of laughs. You know things have gone horribly wrong when you have 10 web ring banners on your site, can I saw desperate. Also you know things have gone horribly wrong when your site has been open for 2 days and you have 500,000 hits, talk about getting caught with your pants done. Now for the second tip. You know when things have gone horribly wrong when your site is named Dragonball Planet and somehow your info and layout are the exact same as Planet Namek. Geez, you got caught twice in one day with your pants down.

OK now I am going to divert from the tips and share a personal experience (actually it had to do with another site) that involved the second tip in tip number two. There was a site ( I can't recall the name) that copied Planet Namek's design and info to the tee. Actually they did manage to change the colors around a little bit. OK, now Mr.E found this guy and exposed him to the world. Now this is were it gets interesting. The guys e-mail was given and he was bombarded with e-mails. So I went to go look at his site and all of a sudden there was a new staff member on the site. And he was declaring that he had done it all. The stealing and copying was all done by him and to e-mail him all of the hate mail. Does this seem a little suspicious. So anyway it turns out that this guy created a new e-mail account to get everyone off of his back. So this was quite interesting and now I must say this. You know things have gone horribly wrong when you are like this guy.

3. Now if you want to be very tricky then follow this rule to the exact. Go to a web site like SREDBZ's, a site with great images. Find out the links to his images and then link directly from your site to his. Wow, you will safe space and still get some great images. Oh my gosh, please smack me now! Please if you do this I will find you and then send you hate mail for being an idiot and having no respect for people who work there asses off. So remember, you know things have gone horribly wrong when you link images and other things from another site.

4. Earlier I talked about having originality. So this is something you shouldn't do. If you ever want to know if I site has stolen the first thing you should do is make sure that the site has an attacks page, timeline, power level's (make sure that they go past the Freeza saga and then don't say that they are a estimation), character BIOS, and story guide. Now have you ever noticed that whenever you go to http://www.geocities.com/paradise/city/6734. da dada dada dada that you see those sections that I listed on about every other site. Well don't worry they are stolen. So this brings me to say that you can do these section's just create them from what you know and make it creative. Also it means to have variety. So you know things have gone horribly wrong when you notice that your site has done this rule.

5. Now this is one of the absolute greatest things to do. After you have stolen all your material please put a disclaimer at the bottom of the page, actually I will make one for you. Here use this " Hey DuDe, this is my stuff and if you Stealz itz I'mz gunna hunts you done and killz youz". Okie dokie it is done you have just either created a great site or a horrible site, wait a minute no you didn't please read on.

Jeez, do you expect me to tell you everything. No be creative, have new ideas, be original, have some fun, educate, promote, and yes I already said this, but have fun. That is the whole purpose, have fun with what you do or it is all a waste. So just remember that you know things have gone horribly wrong when you have used the following 5 rules.

( have I confused you, yes I know the first 2 or 3 rules were actually what you should not do, but then I turned the last couple rules into ways to have a bad site. Anyway I feel any intelligent human being would understand what I am trying to say. **note to reader- the phrase "You know things have gone horribly wrong when..." was used 10 times)
