Saikyo Cardfighter R As a general rule, I wouldn’t suggest anything that comes out in the middle of a Top 10 being compiled, but me bending this rule on this occasion most definitely doesn’t have anything to do with my inate Kagero bias. (At least not entirely anyway). And that’s never stopped the Top 10 Lists before me so fuck it. We got this at 6th place for basically offering a way, albeit a kind of expensive way, to crap on stuff with Resist. The fact that the Stride skill is a +1 to you at worst and a +2 if you succeed the whole way is the rectal cork sealing the deal. 3.5/5 |
What’s up, Rogue Squad?! So, for our #6, it’s actually a card coming from a set that came out, literally, in the last couple of weeks of the year, and normally, I wouldn’t count anything that came out during the holiday season as qualifiable and didn’t nominate anything from G Set 13 because of it…but considering the card, I can guess who did. (Post review: I knew our resident Kagero pottymouth would be our culprit xP) Anyway, let’s have a look at The Destiny. Destiny has some incredible ways of granting pluses. On ride, or the start of your Ride Phase, you Soulblast 1 to retire any card that’s on a RG circle. The reason it’s worded like that is so that even locked cards aren’t safe from Destiny’s blast, and this could help to even retire your front row lock to give room to a new rear guard that can attack, so Destiny has versatility when it comes to his first destruction effect. Destiny’s on Stride effect is to Counterblast 1 to retire an opponent’s rear guard and look at the top 7 cards of your deck to add an Overlord named card from them to your hand. This is great for a few reasons. First off, it’s great for deck thinning and getting your Overlords to your hand and having either potential Stride fodder or to combine it with the Overlord’s newest G unit: The Purge, and even with their first G Unit: The Ace. The Destiny has some really excellent plusing potential, and will definitely be the forerunner to fight against the Link Joker’s control era. Rating: 4/5 Next Time: The one time where Chronojet actually looks like a dragon. Go Rogue…Go Pro…and Top the Meta!!! |
KippForShort If Kai plays it, and if its name is Dragonic Overlord, it has to be good, right? Well actually it doesn’t, but in this case good is an understatement. Overlord basically looked at Blademaster and said, “Hold my beer”. 3.5/5 |
Aruku its what Blademaster ever hope to become. This dude is literally the same Blademaster with an added g3 search to boot. lmaoo Bushi. It also targets circles instead of the units, so it gets around resist quite easily compared to its Strider counterpart. 3.5/5 |
