Hello Pojo Fans,

Dragunity Knight – Romulus is their link 2 that also helps Winged Beast or Dragon archetypes.

Easily made with a combo of Winged Beast or Dragons, or two of the same, tokens excluded keeps things from getting ridiculous. RoTA for Dragunity spell/trap is good or a Dragon Ravine to help Dragunity or a Dragon archetype that uses the card. This card can set up Destrudo by seraching Dragon Ravine, essentially eliminating Terraforming from the deck. Special Summon from the hand helps climb the linking tree or set up a Synchro Summon in the case of Dragunity. Effects negated from the monster summoned from the hand is a standard balancing effect. Special Summoning to a link point Romulus points to isn’t hard with it highlighting the corners. It has to be a Dragon monster Special Summoned to the zone though, so Pendulum shenanigans aren’t available unless Dragon monsters, Darkwurm and Goliath come to mind.

Romulus may be able to be a generic Link 2 to help climb up in other Winged Beast and Dragon decks, but thankfully it looks to be able to benefit most from Dragunity’s ability to Synchro spam the field. You could get this and two Synchro Dragunity monsters off in one turn rather easily with this card now lending a hand.

Dragunity Knight – Romulus has a great name. This card also boasts some great effects. But before that, it’s a Link 2 Wind Dragon-type Link Monster with 1200 Atk and with the 2 Bottom Diagonal Arrows. Dragunity Dragons tend to be Wind, so all of that checks out. It seems that most rejuvenating support gets a bottom diagonal Link 2 theme monster. 1200 Atk is passing for Link 2 as well. Any two non token dragons or winged-beasts can properly summon this out. Dragunity without being restricted to dragunity is nice for versatility. After being properly Link Summoned you get to search any Dragunity Spell or Trap or any Dragon Ravine from your deck to your hand. That probably would have been enough right there since Dragon Ravine is so useful for dragons in general. Think how Isolde is so good for the one search effect as well. As a bonus and benefit for Synchro climbing, if any Dragon is Extra Deck Summoned to a zone that Dragunity Knight – Romulus points to, you get to Special Summon a neutered dragon or winged beast from your hand in defense position. Get a Synchro, then a tuner, and keep on climbing to bigger bosses. Sure both effects are hard once per turns and the atk isn’t great, but being able to fuel dragons and dragunity themes is great. 2 might be enough in either of those decks.

Score: 4/5     Art: 4.5/5 Panzer Dragoon throwback.

Oh man, Dragunities are looking good now with Tempest coming back very recently, so it gets better for them with their Link Monster coming to the TCG relatively quickly, so welcome Dragunity Knight – Romulus.

Romulus is a Link-2 WIND Dragon with 1200 ATK and arrows pointing Bottom Left and Bottom Right. ATK is pretty subpar for the Link-2s, WIND is meh but I wouldn’t want my Dragunities having another attribute, Dragon is a great typing, and the arrows are great. The summoning requirements are any 2 Dragons and/or Winged Beasts that aren’t Tokens, which seems fitting for a Dragunity monster and I’m glad you don’t have to use both a Dragon and Winged Beast so you can play this in generic Dragon decks or Winged Beast decks (preferably Dragon decks). Upon Link Summon, this guy searches for Dragon Ravine or any Dragunity Spell/Trap. If you aren’t playing Dragunities, then I’m sure you’ll love a Dragon Ravine search any day of the week to set up plays, but Dragon Ravine might be better to search in Dragunities since they can use the full potential of it, but playing Dragunities also lets you search Dragunity Divine Lance if you don’t need Ravine at the time. If a Dragon is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to a zone it points to, you can Special Summon from the hand a Dragon or Winged Beast in Defense Position with negated effects for the turn, as well as it not being able to be used as Link Material that turn. Ok, I can respect the negating effects and prevention of being a Link Material, so if you have a monster in your hand that can extend a Synchro or Xyz play, then go ahead and summon something from the hand since this doesn’t have a Level specification, but if said monster won’t help with a Synchro/Xyz, then you might as well not just so you don’t have a monster getting in your way. Each effect are hard once per turns, even though I feel this card would be good enough if it only had that first effect considering how good Dragon Ravine is in most Dragon decks and how good Divine Lance is in Dragunities. Still, the second effect makes it that much better to extend plays if need-be. Play it with your Dragons and stuff, Guardragons will appreciate this guy so you don’t have to use a Heavenly Spheres to go into Agrapain.

Art: 4/5 Isn’t the biggest and scariest of the Dragunity Knights, but it’s still respectable.

Midweek brings us new Dragunity support in the form of a Link Monster.  Behold, Dragunity Knight-Romulus.  Wind attributed, Link 2, 1200 attack, with Link Arrows pointing to the respective bottom diagonals.  Any two non-Token Dragon and/or Winged-Beast type Monsters are required to Link Summon this card.  So, first, a Link Summon of this card nets you a theme specific Magic/Trap card from the Deck to Hand.

A free resource off a Special (Link in this case) Summon is always a good thing.  We like automatically +1s, don’t we?  Oh, and this includes Dragon Ravine, which is appropriate, given how well it fits the theme, and is one of those ‘not named in the theme of the title but I’m still a theme’ cards.  The rest of this card is used as a combo card for Extra Deck plays.

If a Dragon Monster is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to a zone Linked to this card (save the Damage Step), you can Special Summon a Dragon or Winged-Beast Monster in defense position (from your Hand) who then has its effect(s) negated.  It also can’t be used as Link Material, BUT, both those expire at the end of that turn.  It’s a very good, small card, that opens up much bigger Monsters/plays, and speed.

Art:  4.5/5  I like this a lot.  Nice mechanical detail on the body, the blue is good with the silver metallic parts, and the green in the sky with the lightning is pretty too.
