BOGILLIAN
Today, I am sad. We might most likely have the
worst piece the game has to offer. Mainly
because his effect is nothing short of useless
98% of the time. Ok first off, he has close to
the same stats of Malborn Croc, which no one
uses. And even Croc has more life. The only
thing Bogillian has in his defense is Slip,
which only works if he is at the END of a ROW,
NOT a COLLUMN. So for 0 spawn points, he can
move from the 1 collumn to the 5 collumn. How
could this be good? He basically just plays
leap-frog the whole time and doesn't do anything
about scoring or battling. Maybe I'm missing
something...
Constructed - 1/5 - Don't use it if you can
afford it. Malborn Croc > Bogillian
Sealed - 1.5/5 - Stupid things happen..he might
have some use. Nevermind
Artwork - .5/5 - I'm leaving now, have a good
weekend

Bogillian
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you a
memorial to one of the greatest heroes of our
time: Swamp Thing.
I remember back when I was a kid, Swamp Thing
was one of the coolest out there. He had a
cartoon show, and he had all sorts of awesome
toys. He went head to head with G.I. Joe, TMNT,
Biker Mice From Mars, Power Rangers, Captain
Planet, and all the other iconic kid shows of
the early 90's.
And got his butt WHUPPED. *cries*
Apparently, WotC decided Swamp Thing needed a
better send off than he got, and made a nifty
li'l Madness piece to commemorate his
awesomeness.
Slimey here has some good stats, coming in at 4
5|12 for 8MM, though he does have solid
competition in the form of Fleshworm Broodsire
who beats it on power but loses in Defense and
Life. He also has to fight Chrysalis Spinner and
Malborn Croc, but generally, people will only be
using those if they can't GET a Broodsire.
However, truth be told, Bogillian is not a
combat piece. He's a movement piece in the vein
of Scarab Warcharm or Angel of Sunrise... and
while he does take a slightly different tack to
it, he is dang good at what he does.
You see, Bogillian will be spawned in your
portal. Q. Where is your portal on a dreamscape?
A. At the end of a row. Q. What is Bogillians
ability? A. You can pay 0 spawn points to shift
him from one end of a row to another. For those
of you whose brains are not quite functioning up
to par, that means you just opened up a VERY
nice spot on your spawn row very, very early on.
Instead of wasting time shifting and shifting
and shifting trying to get across the board,
your creatures will already be within striking
distance of some very valuable 'scape upon being
spawned, taking, at a guess, two or even three
turns fewer to get where they really want to go.
And once you have a striking team set up...
Bogillian is actually more than capable of
fighting alongside the other beaters you'll
have, whatever those may be depending on your
band's make up.
Bogillian may not be an answer to Unsated
Ragedrake or counter Angel of Sunrise, and no,
he really isn't as good as Cyclopean Sprite...
but let's face it, few things are. I am of the
opinion that if Bogillian is ignored for the
time being, he won't be for too long, not after
people realize the tactical options he can open
up in half the time it would usually take with
more orthodox methods. Prove me wrong, I dare
you.
Constructed: 3.5/5 He'll be hanging back for a
bit after you spawn him, but once you're ready,
my god, will you be ready.
Limited: 3.5/5 His trick is still just as
obvious, and still just as useful. So long you
manage to snatch some other Madness figs to help
with the aspect cost, you'll be fine with this
dude.

Bogillian
and today, we have an most-excelent common from
Madness, the Bogillian.
First, the breakdown:
8MM, 4 power, defence 5, life 12.
basically a worse version of Malborn Croc....untill
you see his
most-excelent effect: spawn phase zero Slip. I
LOVE this effect. at first i thought it was
useless, but then i thought about it. summon him
early, slip him to the other side of the spawn
row, and then you have a easier time cause' you
can just spawn critters in his row. or move him
up early to your scoring 3-cell, place an arch,
slip to the 5-scoring cell, place another arch.
Use bogillian to mess with your opponent useing
slip some more. then laugh meniacly *whahahaha!*
repeat :-)
limited: 4.5/5
constructed: 5/5 *a GREAT 8 drop :-)*
sculpt: 5/5 *its an awsome looking
marsh-creature-from-the-black-lagoon
monster.
i <3 it*
