EQUITAR
Welcome back, because today we rewind to the
last set to do some catchup. Maybe its just New
England, but this guy popped up in half the
rounds of the 1k I played in this weekend. After
seeing it in action, I saw why. It has above
average stats. A Fear 9 drop with 6 power! Add
that to a 9/12 body frame! Now its balanced out
by two abilities, but still make this a decent
rare to pull. Corpsebuilt 2 is Butcher's
ability, times two. To summon this guy, you have
to dump two guys in your reserves to the grave.
This was put as a restriction, but many bands I
saw used this as a quick way to gain aspects and
save to use with Baxar's Call ability or even
trigger abilities such as Slaughterwheel and
Gutsoup Golem, both being Stitched along with
this guy. I have been playing around with
Butcher, and being to dump in Passion guys to
satisfy HBT aspect or Valor for PTC aspect is
very nice. Being able to dump 2 Passion guys
with Equitar will allow you to play HBT for 3,
and you don't even have to play anymore Passion
pieces for the game. While using it with Baxar,
it can reuse Come into Play abilities like
Buzzclaw or Lockjaw. The uses for that ability
are limitless. Now its other ability, Panic 1, I
wouldn't worry about. Unless they errata it as a
multiblade ability, its a horrible add on that
really means nothing 9.999.. out of 10 times.
Constructed - 4/5 - I have more respect for it
and Butcher now after seeing it get alot of
play.
Sealed - 2.5/5 - Not much support for it here,
but its not that bad if you play two pack rules
so you can refresh the guys you dump.
Artwork - 3/5 - Random, just like the other
