That Guy That
Plays DreamBlade |
MEDUSA
To wrap up the week, we have a piece that comes
from many myths to bring fear to the dreamscape.
Medusa is the first unique 7 drop for Dreamblade,
sporting stats of 3 - 6/8. While not amazing, it
can work just fine seeing as the stats are
decent enough to last in the mid-game. Now along
with being unique, she brings forth a very
powerful double blade ability. Reflecting her
power from Greek mythology, her Petrify ability
can turn opposing pieces to stone! Well not
really, but it forces your opponent to choose on
of their local pieces to kill. While I am not
sure if deathblows occur from the use of this
effect, it can provide very useful when paired
up with strong enemies that would be to hard to
kill with only damage. The problem is, how do
you generate 2 blades off 3 dice. On average,
the chances on this are slim to none. However,
when comboed with other big rollers, this guy
can choose to kill almost any opposing character
at will. Using Lure and Expel abilities, I don't
see it being to hard to bring in a single
character to Petrify. This guy in my eyes could
be seeing play in a Passion/Fear control band.
Constructed - 3.5/5 - While not having seen this
piece in action, the ability seems pretty good,
and at least worth testing over the Scarecrow or
a Gothic.
Sealed - 2.5/5 - Not as good here, but still a
decent body. You do tend to focus more on
grouping allies for big attacks here, but this
pushes your chances of winning more on the
amount of blades you have.
Artwork - 3.5/5 - That snake body is pretty
cool....
