GAMERS DESCEND ON SEATTLE FOR DREAMBLADE® SEATTLE, WASH. (December 3, 2006) -- The stakes were high this weekend in Seattle as dozens of gamers descended on the Seattle Center to compete for a cut of $500,000 being offered in the Dream Series, the competitive tournament circuit for DREAMBLADE®, a popular sci-fi game from Wizards of the Coast, subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS). Chris McCreath of Gresham, Ore. captured top honors at the event, which is one of over two hundred tournaments held around the world that offer thousands of dollars in cash prizes for competitive play in the recently launched game. While DREAMBLADE™ tournaments are held from Calgary to Costa Mesa, and everywhere in between, it’s always fun to be able to host an event right here in our backyard,” said Ginger Ahn, Brand Manager for DREAMBLADE™ at Renton, Wash. based Wizards of the Coast. “The turnout this weekend is testament to Seattle’s status as ‘Game City, USA’.” In addition to their weekend cash haul, McCreath and other top contenders will have the opportunity to advance to the $50,000 August 2007 DREAMBLADE® Championship, the culminating event in the annual Dream Series tournament circuit. Aspiring Dream Lords have their next chance at participating in a 10K event on December 2 in Seattle, Wash., while casual play Edge tournaments, offered semi-weekly at hundreds of locations in North America, provide the opportunity for gamers to hone their Dreamblade skills. A complete list of tournament locations, and more information on DREAMBLADE®, is available at dreamblademinis.com.
