Guardian
This is one of the largest blockers in the game.
It's also 9000 power for only six mana. That's
pretty amazing. This guy can help you hold the fort
down for a long time. This is definitely a super
rare worth having.

Yay! It’s a big... wall. Or something. It stops…
everything. And it doesn’t help me win the game…
ever. I dunno, this guy is just not very exciting at
all. It’s a fine card, its just not exciting.

Gran Gure, Space
Guardian- Very Rare
Well people today we have the best blocker there is
in the game Gran Gure, Space Guardian
This guy is amazing, he is a 9000 blocker for only 6
mana?!?!? tell me what is wrong here since most
blockers ever are over costed, or have only 1000
more power than they have cost, but this fellow can
stop about 90% of the good cards out there making
him very valueable. Even though some people may say
that this guy will come out into the field a bit too
late in the game, he accualy doesn't. Most monsters
that will even come close to his power will probably
come out after he does (Roaring Great-Horn is 7, or
Hanusa, Radiance Elemental is 7 too).
The Ratings:
Constructed- 4.7/5 he didn't get a 5/5 because he is
still only a blocker =/
limited- 5/5 he may cost 6 but he will block any of
the opponets monsters 99.9% of the time.
Final Thought- A key protection against strong
monsters, a must be in any deck that has traces of
light in it.

Gran Gure, Space
Guardian
Gran Gure is the biggest blocker in the game as of
now. First off, look at some of the stats. 9000 for
6 mana, pretty solid, even as far as blockers go.
Gran Gure can get into a scrum with a good 95% of
the creature in the game right now and live to tell
the tale. Plus, a few of the one’s that actually do
destroy it do so through the power attacker ability.
Gran Gure can attack them if they’re tapped, so you
can either chump block with something smaller, or
let the attack go through and zap it on the next
turn.
Combined with Toel, Light Spells that tap your
opponents creatures, and maybe even mana-acceleration,
Gran Gure can be good. I’n my personal opinion he’s
probably one of the few creature with that high a
cost that you can force 4 of in a deck and not be
too upset.
In Draft, big, cheap bodies that can pick off
creature and protect you are good. It’s probably the
best Light Creature you can draft, second maybe to
Rayla. A house and a half.

Name: Gran Gure,
Space Guardian
Type: Creature
Civilization: Light
Race: Guardian
Cost: 6
Power: 9000
Effect#1: Blocker (When an opponent’s creature
attacks, you may tap this creature to stop the
attack. Then the two creatures battle.)
Effect#2: This creature can’t attack players.
Flavor Text: Those who defile the Sky Castle are
doomed, for they shall know the wrath of the
Guardians.
Mana#: 1
Set/Card#: Base Set, 5/110, Very Rare
Attributes: Guardians are creatures of Light, and so
far, all are blockers that can’t attack players.
Nothing else I can recall refers to them, so I will
move on. You get a Power 9000 creature for just 6
mana. That sounds about right to me: summoning for 6
mana is hard, so 9000 is what I’d demand. But I
already said there was more…
Abilities: It can’t attack players, but as stated,
it’s a Blocker. Those two on traits their own are a
fair trade off to me.
Uses/Combinations: Simply put, this makes a great
wall for a Light deck. Now, how useful that is
depends on your meta-game (local environment). I
players are low on creature removal and/or high
Power creatures, this could block a lot of hits… but
if either of those are played, then its really not
going to help you much: most players I know kill you
with either two fatties, a large amount of
disposable cheap attackers, or one big hitter and
several small ones. So either they make you block
their double breaker, or you block something little
and kill it. One way or the other, shields are
getting hit: it’s not like Yu-Gi-Oh where they have
to attack a monster if it’s on the field.
Ratings
Newbie Format: 4/5-This will really frustrate a lot
of newer player decks, since their beloved [insert
holographic-rare] monster can’t hit you.
Standard: 3.5/5-Note, that’s in general, in a
mono-Light deck it probably would be a little
better. Otherwise, Defense doesn’t win a lot of
games I have seen.
Limited: 4/5-Nice pick: if they get anything big,
then you can block it with ease. I really doubt
they’d pull that many big guys they can play in the
same deck.
Summary
I give you the wall.

Gran Gure, Space
Guardian
Gotta love those Blockers.
Gran Gure, Space Guardian: Light Creature, 6-Mana,
9000 Attack, Blocker. Interested? The text says that
[Gran Gure] cannot attack players. Maybe that's a
good thing?
Should you play this card? I would say, only if you
wanted to. Why? Well sure, it's a Blocker with 9000
attack, but who says you're not running Light/Dark
or Light/Fire and can easily destroy your opponent's
creatures? You can run the much cheaper La Ura Giga,
Sky Guardian in multiples and stop 2+ creatures
instead of one. In Water/Light this card is probably
better since it can block any creature (minus
Bolshack Dragon, unblockables, and Hanusa, Radiance
Elemental) while the cheap Water creatures attack.
But I won't argue that a 9000 Blocker isn't useful.
If you drop this card, nothing short of a Terror
Pit/Death Smoke/Natural Snare will destroy it.
Pros: 6-Mana, 9000 Attack, Blocker
Cons: can only attack creatures
I would play this card if your local tournament area
is swarming with huge attack creatures. In Limited
this card is much better. Your opponent will be
hesitant to attack.
Tournament: 3/5
Limited: 3.5/5
