Stinger Worm-
Uncommon- #61 base set
Anouther day anouther mediocure card, Stinger Worm
Let me start off by saying this, black doesn't have
a Bolshack Dragon. Because there is no black
Bolshack Dragon, this is not a Onslaughter Triceps,
get the picture? Sure he is a 5000 for 3, but
loosing a creature is even worse than loosing a mana
(like Onslaughter Triceps). Sure you could get rid
of a useless creature, but IMO no creature is
useless this early in the game =/
Ratings:
Constructed- 2/5 I just wanted to give him a 3, but
since he gets rid of a creature he is a 2
Limited- 2.9/5 this was a realy hard one for me. I
couldn't decide if you would either have more
useless creatures this early, or less creatures out
over all.
Final Thought- the only way that I could see him
played is in some wacked black speed deck, but
incase Wizards didn't notice that job is currently
for green...

Stinger Worm
I’m going to bypass the fact that this card is a
Parasite Worm, because I’m well aware that it could
be Ultracide Worm, but I’m here to review Stinger
Worm, which on it’s own, is a downright horrible
card.
For a while I was actually using this card, trying
to prove it was good. Unfortunately, it’s no
Onslaughter Triceps. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Mechanics of
tribute summoning is horrible, and one a handful
actually get played in that game, and those one’s
all have some awesome effect. Stinger Worm is just a
vanilla 5000 creature with a horrible drawback.
Now, late game when some of your blockers outlive
their usefulness, they can still block. If you still
have an Immortal Baron Vorg on the field, it can
still break shields, or evolve. Stinger Worm isn’t
worth sacrificing a creature. The speed of a 5000
creature may have meant something versus mono-light
decks when the only set out was the first, but since
then, it hasn’t meant a thing.
In draft, not quite as horrible, but still equally
bad.
Constructed - 1.5
Limited - 2

Stinger Worm
Man, what's with Darkness and worms?..
Stinger Worm: Darkness Creature, 3-Mana, 5000
Attack. I know you're interested. When you put this
card into play you have to destroy one of your
creatures. Ouch.
Is this card good? I personally think Bone Spider is
a much better card as it too is a 3-for-5000
creature but doesn't destroy anything once it gets
into play. If you wanted another creature like Bone
Spider then run Stinger Worm; otherwise, Bone Spider
> Stinger Worm.
Pros: only 3-Mana, stays in play until destroyed,
5000 Attack
Cons: destroys creature
I say, play Bone Spider other Stinger Worm, unless
you have some strange fancy for Worms o_O In Limited
this card is a lot better, as a 5000 Attack creature
is pretty hefty.
Tournament: 2/5
Limited: 3/5
