Gatling Skyterror
My favorite card! ^_^ Ok we all know that this guy
can be extremely annoying... If he lives long enough
to help that is. Now a lot of people will tell you
that Gatling Skyterror is past his prime. A relic
from the base set. That's not exactly true. Gatling
Skyterror can be just as effective as he was back in
the days of base set. It's just that this time
around he needs protection from other cards in your
deck. Just make a deck with lots of stalling, lots
of hand kill, a little recursion, and some creature
removal. Basically you just make a deck with cards
to protect him from whatever your opponent may use
to get rid of him, and then you stall until you can
get him into play. The best thing about Gatling
Skyterror is that you can actually make your
opponent deckout with it! It's sooooo much fun!!!
Not having to take shields is the best win condition
ever!!!
Rating: 10/5 (Cause I said so!! (Or 5 if you prefer
to get technical)

Gatling Skyterror
Of all the "hit-them-before-they-can-hit-you"
creatures currently in the game Gatling Skyterror is
the best. Considering that lot of hitters includes
Curatops and Gigio, my statement might appear to be
saying little. But, trust me, Gatling's a very
underappreciated workhorse capable of delivering the
goods in the right situation.
PROS:
1. Double Breaker. If you're using him to hit
shields, then you can slap your opponent for 2 to
the dome.
2. Gatling slams untapped creatures. Can peg off
annoying evo bait, weaker double breakers with
summoning sickness like Bolshack and Zagaan, some
unblockables before they snap, creatures with
annoying effects like Dark Titan Maginn--a host of
goodies.
3. 7000 power can peg off a wide range of untapped
and tapped goodies. Not all the good stuff, but a
hefty portion of it.
4. Can fit into most decks running Fire.
CONS:
1. Costs 7 mana for 7000 power. You'd better run
something in your deck to keep this guy out and
going strong like creature removal.
2. Gatling has summoning sickness. He's a Death
Smoke away from never making an impact.
RATING:
4/5. Pre-emptive striking is a good (yet very
overlooked) asset to certain decks, especially ones
aimed at controlling the field. Think about it: Will
your opponent be happy to slap down below 7000 power
guys knowing Gatling's there to wipe the floor with
them? Nope. They had better have a way to get
Gatling off the dancer floor or they're going to
have one short line of Macarena dancers. Ideally I'd
want something else out to slam shields so Gatling
can go to work on other creatures. But, if there's a
huge opening and he can hit for 2 then I'll take it.
That's versatility for you.
Limited: 4/5. Removal & blockers being in lesser
quantities, Gatling can stand to cause lots of
trouble.
