Yeah. A VERY basic card.
Civilization/Race: He's a water
blocker, with the standard drawback of not being
able to attack at all. He's also a liquid
person, which is the biggest reason anyone would
use this card. He can evolve into the powerful
Crystal Lancer, or the rocks-my-world Crystal
Paladin.
Cost: He costs one mana. Thus,
he is a nice, cheap, chump blocker who you can
easily accumulate enough mana to use.
Power: His 2000 power allows
him to suicicide into cards such as Hulcus, and
it stops BAT, Loco, and Kook Paloon in their
tracks. However, it is not enough to slow a
Pyrofighter, which is the main reason many
people use blockers...
Abilities: He can block. Thus,
he is weak to blocker-hate, but can save your
neck and shields in a pinch. He is bound by the
fact he cannot attack at all, which he normally
wouldn't want to do anyway. He IS a chump
blocker, remember.
Ok, now that I've reviewed these stats, let's
see how they stack up.
Constructed overview: He sees
play here for two reasons. He's a chump
blocker, and he's cheap evo-bait into
Paladin/Lancer/Jouster. Use him for these
reasons only. For other blocking purposes, I
recommend Hunter Fish or Friday's card, which
can at least take a Pyrofighter with it. 2/5
LImited overview: In limited, a
blocker is a blocker. If you think it'll help,
draft him. There are better in the set, but
this guy can provide you with at least a
temporary shield. 4/5
Friday: A card I actually use and care
about!
