Today we
have one of the better cards out of Stomp-A-Trons.
Decimater is easily compared to Valdios, but
they are so much different. Why? Because
Valdios is used often in most red decks that
want to rush. Valkaiser can be used as a
control card for a red/green deck while also
working as a field clearer.
If you
all haven't noticed, people are beginning to
realize that blockers need to be above 3K
power. Sorry Hunter Fish, you've been
replaced. Why is this? Because people
don't understand the true power that Searing
Wave has - and its run in multiples of 4 in
EVERY red deck or deck containing red
(sometimes 4 searing wave and 4 pyrofighter).
People use Wave to clear thier opponent's
field of weenies and mini-blockers that
everyone runs. This can often lead into a
troublesome time because when turn 7 comes
around, out comes the Twin Cannon and then
your in trouble...
Decimater
does this much better. While keeping a nice
ratio of 1:1, he also loses Summoning
Sickness (he is an evo afterall...). Then,
when he comes out, he pops a cap in a
blocker's rear and blows a tapped creature
to bits. So for getting a 5000 attacker and
your opponent losing two creatures, you lose
what? One card from your hand to play him,
and that's all.
I've been
trying to fit him into some decks, but there
just alot of good red rush stuff out there
that he just belongs in a blue/red or a
red/green deck to own the field in the later
game.
Constructed: 4/5 - I like him ALOT, maybe
too much. Heck, I may even use him over
everyone's favorite human....
Limited:
5/5 - there's ALOT of good humans here, if
you see him, use him...
