The
Key to Trox, Master of Hand Control - Justin
Florio
I have seen many
people playing darkness decks with an attempt at control of hand and field. When
I ask them why they are not playing Trox, General of Destruction, the
people say he is way too expensive. Now,
call me crazy, but there are ways around this. So, I decided to try and make a
control deck around Trox. He is a very beefy creature and has good effects, so I
decided to try and prove these people wrong. By combining the power of darkness
creatures with the force of nature, I have concocted a deck that has very good
control, even with using Trox. He is actually one of the key creatures in this
deck. Now I know the administrators of DM Pojo may shun me for sending them a
deck in the Duel Yammers section, but I see other decks, so I decided to give it
a try. This is not only a deck though, but advice/tips on how to control the
hand with Trox, as well as control the field.

So there you have it. The nature
cards will make it much easier to use higher end spells and creatures.
While you are stacking up your removal spells and creatures, your opponent will
be hitting shields, which have a high chance of being shield triggers. As you
get more mana and Elf-X out, your creatures will flood the battle zone and use
their effects, keeping your opponent's creatures off the field and keeping their
handing relatively empty. I hope this helps you guys trying to control the field
as well as the hand. And I hope this can help you use Trox a bit. O yea, this
deck has been playtested against nature/water, mono water, darkness/water
control, and mono fire decks. It has one all of the duels it has
faced.
