Us-NYC Times Square Launch Guide
Ok,
My name is sling blade, e:mail= sennenrage@yahoo.com. Most of you know me
from my site: Sennen Rage, http://www.sennenrage.vze.com
I will start off by telling you all who weren't there on March 6, 2004 in
NYC Times Square Toys R Us what the Duel Masters TCG launch was all about.
Ok, walking thru the sliding doors, you all see a short and I mean VERY
short line on the ramp and there is the DM TCG packs and starter decks lined up
on the wall. This creature was taking photos, POLAROID, and they were free!!! So
i went and got my picture taken with that monster dude. Took my photo.
then you notice that EVERY and I mean EVERY single TV screen in the whole
store was airing a preview of the DM anime. Shobu, i noticed had the same voice
as Tai from digimon season 1. anyway, went up to the second floor where things
got heated up.
i first got my free promo, it has a NYC 2004 foil stamp on it. met with
this SHORT and again i meant SHORT line where one of the original creators of
the TCG John Hook was signing the promos. grabbed a free poster a dude was
giving out and got that signed. when i opened the poster later the poster was an
ugly elephant with what looks like a Millennium Eye (yugioh) on his head. oh
wells. it was free :) ok, then went and walked around. saw that there was a duel
area set up for demo playing the TCG, i dint go. too bad.
just was about to leave, when i saw that all these kids had these red
duelmasters baseball caps. i found out they were free. i went downstairs and
then noticed NOW they were giving out the free baseball caps. so i went back on
the short line and got my phot taken again, this time with the free cap. soo it
was cool.
also note that i also got these free sticker sheets they were giving out.
all in all it was a great day. the promo as the autographer told me was
only printed in 6000, so if you dint get yours, its a shame. it will be worth
some money!!
-look for me again sooN!!!
