Article 3 - A Look into the Future pt.2 - Gotenkz1025

    Hey everyone, this is my third article on Pojo's, and in this section, we will be looking at the Very Rares of the second set of Duel Masters. All translations are courtesy of Edo's Duel Masters website.

SPIRIT OF THE SEA OF STARS EETERU
Creature / Angel Command / Light / 6 / 5500 / 1
- This Creature can't be Blocked.
1/55 (Very Rare)

This is a very good card, good thing it isn't a double breaker, or it would be absolutely broken. Anyway, it has the typical downsides of any monster, and even though the attack isn't that great, it's still good nonetheless.

PLASMA CHASER
Creature / Gel Fish / Water / 6 / 4000 / 1
- When this Creature attacks, you may draw a number of cards
equal to the number of your opponent's Creatures in the Battle
Zone.

2/55 (Very Rare)

I don't think I would use this..it's good mid to late game, but I couldn't really imagine myself using it. Just an opinion, of course. I'm sure any blue deck would use it, but like I said in my last article, I haven't run a blue deck yet, so I guess I wouldn't know.

DARKNESS SOLDIER MAGIN
Creature / Demon Command / Dark / 6 / 4000 / 1
- When this Creature attacks, choose 1 card from your opponent's
hand without looking, and put it in its owner's Graveyard.
3/55 (Very Rare)

This is what I have been waiting for. It doesn't have much of a downside, and it's a White Magical Hat(for the YGO players). I love this card, and am definately looking forward to it.

VOLZARD DRAGON
Creature / Armored Dragon / Fire / 6 / 5000 / 1
- When this Creature attacks, choose 1 card in your opponent's
Mana Zone, and put it in its owner's Graveyard.
4/55 (Very Rare)

I think this card is good as well. Although I don't think I'd use it, it's got solid stats, and a decent effect. I think that a card is safer in the mana zone, though, because of the simple fact that there isn't much of a way that it can be brought back via any dark recursion cards.

XENO MANTIS
Creature / Giant Insect / Nature / 7 / 6000 / 1
- This Creature can't be Blocked by Creatures with Power of 5000
or less.
- Double Breaker (When this Creature attacks a Shield, it breaks
2 Shields.)
5/55 (Very Rare)

This is a beefed-up Tower Shell. Better stats, better effect(double breaker!) and most block cards(besides Gran Gure) are 5000 and less. w00t!

   Well, that's it for now. Next article I haven't decided yet, but I might do the super rares for the third set. We'lll see. Any comments/suggestions/hate mail is welcome!
