Control Deck Synergy-The Dark Advocate
.....Here I am. Yet again, trying to
make a deck, I do not seem to have the right cards for. Why me? Any ways, I'm
writing a tip now, about control decks. In my area, Yu-gi-oh is still popular,
and all they play is control. $9,000,000 decks, people. You go blind from all
the holo foils.
Well, what I want
to do, is make a 3-civ. control deck. Can you guess the colors? Black and Blue,
of course. But, the third, may not be what you think. It probably is though. So
any ways....::lost himself in his babbling::
Well, most
Control decks are Black/Green, Blue/Green, or Blue/Black, at least from what I
know. It seems to me, a good idea to try and put them all together, right?
Right.
Well, lets
breakdown the decks functions.
Nature: Gain mana. Uh.....Mana Nexus
stuff. Thats about it.
Blue: Draw cards. Search for cards.
Interact with my mana and shield zone. Attack late
game.
Black: Kill stuff. Attack and defend
early-mid game. Use some hand destruction cards. I.E. Lost Soul, Horrid Worm,
ext..
Well, I've got
some of the cards I need/want. Only about, 5-10 cards I still need, and none of
them too rare. When I finally get them all {or at least a good decklist } I'll
post, Vs 2.0.
I dont really
think I need to go over a strategy, but I'll give a simple run down. Early game,
play conservatively, take some cheap shots when you can, but defense and board
control is what you want to set up. Mid-game, start casting spells to screw your
opponent, and set yourself up for a attack. Late game, ideally, you'll be in
control. Guess you know
why its called that type of deck.
Well, there you
go. Expect 2.0 in a bit. Until then, this is The Dark Advocate signing off,
wishing you a bright today, and a magnificent
tommorow.
