AJ's Top Ten Best Duel Masters Cards

 

Here are the cards I feel are the best duel masters cards out right now.

 

 

10. Vampire Silphy

 

Personally, I dont like this card because it darkness civilization (very weak). But it effect is decent. Destroying all monsters of 3000 attack or less can eliminate some blocker and many power attackers but for 8 mana, that ridiculous. And it only has 4000 attack, no double breaker, no power attacker. This card would last more than one turn. Only if your opponent only have 5 mana or less (basically the Starter Deck), there is practically no chances of this card surviving in the battle zone. It has a good effect but overall a bad card. Deserve to be on the Top Ten but also on the Top Ten Worst.

 

 

9. King Ripped- Hide

 

Excellent card in a water deck. It like the Pot of Greed in yugioh but is a creature with a decent attack. Even though it attack is pretty low for 7 mana, you still get those 2 cards when it first come in to play so it still pretty good. Even though this card has a low attack, I would probably run 2 in a water deck because it is still a pretty great card.

 

 

 

8. Explosive Fighter Ucarn

 

This is a MUST in any fire-associated deck. It is the lowest costing over 7000 (originally) creature in the Base Set. Only 5 mana, that is very easy to get. And it negative effect is actually a positive in a fire deck. If you put mana in the graveyard, that is 2000+ for Bolshack Dragon. Bolshack Dragon and Explosive Fighter Ucarn is a very powerful team in a fire civilization deck. If you have this card, but 3-4 in your fire deck. If you are dont have a fire deck, make a fire deck. The key things to remember about this monster are LOW MANA COST, 9000 attack, and double breaker. Do not hesitate to put this car.

 

 

 

7. Urth, Perifying Elemental

 

I like this card mainly because of it second effect to untap it self at the end of it turn. Two reasons I love this is because 1. It says may so you don't have to do it and 2. It protects it self from getting destroy by a creature attack. That is very cool effect and it 6 mana, 6000 attack and double breaker are just added bonuses.

 

 

6. Holy Awe/ Terror Pit

The only spells on my list only because it deserves to be on the list. Speaking about Holy Awe, one, it shield trigger and two it untaps all your opponents creatures. It leaves them wide-open 75% of the time unless of course they have blocker. 6 mana is a little high but I would absolutely run at least 3 in a light deck. In terms of Terror Pit, the ability to destroy any of your opponents creature and it is a shield trigger. This is a great card. I feel it equal with Holy Awe only because it a darkness card which, in my opinion, isnt a good civilization but that another story. The 6 mana is a con but imagine the possibility of getting of these cards as a shield trigger, the duel could really change are playing these spells.

 

 

5. Gran Gure, Space Guardian

 

This is. by far. the best blocker in the world of duel masters (right now). Let look at all of the pros: only 6 mana and has 9000 defense. Is there any blocker better? The only con is that it can't attack player but who cares. By the time this card comes out, you would probably have eliminate all their monsters in 3-4 turns so weak monsters can come in and slowly eliminate your opponents shield.

 

 

4. Astrocomet Dragon/ Roaring Great Horn

 

Two words: RAW POWER. These cards have 10, 000 raw power when it attacks a monster. It will never loses (I mean rarely loses. There always the possibility). And then they also have Double Breaker, what more could you ask. Well, how about that they only cost 7 mana which means that it could be pull out pretty fast compare to other monsters and will probably last most of the duel unless Terror Pit is pull out by your opponent.

 

 

 

 

3. Scarlet Skyterror

 

The reason I put this card so high is that this card effect is very good. The ability to destroy all creatures that have "blocker" is to good for words. This is card is what light deck fear because one must run lots of blockers in a light deck and this eliminates all of them. I call this card the "combo opener" because putting this card in the battle zone would really open the duel for a player who behind. This card could change duel but it has one downfall; one mistake. It has only 3000 attack but cost 8 mana so by the time you pull it out, it would be destroy it about 1-2 turns.

 

 

 

2. Aqua Sniper

 

With 5000 attack, it not the strongest in the sea but with the ability to return two monsters to the owner hands, this could really open up duels. Because of it effect, you might get a open a shot at his shield or even at him. The only downfall is that it requires 8 mana, which really hard to pull. Personally, I stop putting mana at 6 or 7 so I pulling this card would take a while but it well worth it.

 

 

1. Bolshack Dragon/ King Depthcon

 

If you're running a fire deck, go with Bolshack Dragon. If you're running a water deck, go with King Depthcon. Or just combine the two, you can't go wrong with these cards. These cards are practically identical just each has it own special effect besides Double Breaker. Bolshack Dragon gains 1000 for every fire in your graveyard when it attacks and King Depthcon can't be blocked. Personally, I think Bolshack Dragon looks cooler but King Depthcon can win you a lot of duels. Hands down, the best cards to have right now in Duel Masters.
