10 Commons -- Pyr0clasm7
These are what I believe to be the 10 best common cards
currently out in the English Duel Masters environment. They are ranked by
their overall performance in a deck using that
color.
10) Silver Axe- Green is all about mana acceleration and
this guy gets the job done. Everytime it attacks, you get plus one mana
which can build up very quickly.
9) Deadly Fighter Braid Claw- The supreme rush card for
red decks. 1 mana gets you a 1000 atk monster ready to take out shields
next turn. Just watch out for early game blockers when you play these or
else you may find them dying quickly on you since they have to attack every
turn.
8) La Ura Giga, Sky Guardian- Speaking of blockers,
here's a nice one for you. For 1 mana, light gets a 2000 blocker that
also has the ability to attack other creatures. This is Braid Claw's worst
nightmare. They are an incredibly cheap and effective way of stopping
that double breaker from obliverating your
shields.
7) Horrid Worm- One of the best basic monsters for
a darkness deck. For 3 mana, you get a 2000 attacker that forces your
opponent to discard a card everytime you attack. Your opponent will find
themselves topdecking very quickly if you are able to attack with more than one
of these every turn.
6) Death Smoke- The first spell on the list and a good
one for that matter. For 4 mana, you can kill any untapped monster your
opponent has. With the exception of evolutions, this card will be able to
kill any monster your opponent just summoned.
5) Corile- A 5 mana 2000 attacker with the ability to
return a monster on your opponent's side of the field to the top of his or her
deck. This guy is just a pure nuisance if you are going up against a
blue deck. Not only does he stall your monster's attack for a turn, he
also forces you to draw that monster again. This guy is quite possibly one
of the most annoying monsters there is.
4) Crimson Hammer- For 2 mana, you get a red spell that
destroys a monster with an attack of 2000 or less. This may not seem like
much, but it is very cheap, effective creature removal, since a lot of the
monsters seeing play in today's enviroment have low attacks backed by good
effects.
3) Aqua Hulcus- 3 mana, 2000 atk, draw a card when
he's summoned, what more could you want? Draw power is where blue accels
at and this guy is one of the best there is. Having more cards in your
hand gives you more options, which is very important in any TCG. Plus did
I mention he's a Liquid People? (Crystal Lancer/Paladin
anyone?)
2) Bronze-Arm Tribe- Quite arguably the best mana
accelorator nature has. Unlike Mighty Shouter or Silver Axe, with this
guy, you reap the benefits of more mana the minute you summon him. More
mana lets you play more cards. This guy does his job and he does it
well. He is also a Beast Folk, allowing you to evolve him into a Barkwhip
or Fighter Dual Fang after he has done his
job.
1) Spiral Gate- 2 Mana, Return one creature to your
opponent's hand, and not to mention a sheild trigger. An all around good
card. A cheap, effective, spell that is a must have for any deck using
blue.
