Subject: Wrath of Bolmeteus Duel Masters Tourney Report Comic Asylum Robby



Hey pojo! well with a large defeate last week at wizard world i decided to
have a deck centered more around my 4 Bolmetues Steel Dragons. And thats
exactly what i did. so lets see how i did.

Deck:

pretty hefty deck, gotta work on that and i wanna add in corpse chargers.

we had about 10 people there today, yugioh ran late and alot of players did
not participate because of that. and so we began late too because of yugioh.

Round 1-
Robby ( Bolmeteus Control ) vs Andre ( my best friend with a standard R/U/B
)

Game 1-
we had been playing earlier and we were switching off wins, and he had just
beat me, so it was my turn to win. And win i did, i lost souled his hand
turn 6 thanks to volcano charger, I LET him keep his emeral on the feild so
he could merfolk, then i blasted his hand, and then bolmeteus came online
and it was pretty much over.

Game 2-
he went first, and turn 2 ghost touch, turn 3 energy stream ( me ), then
clamp and loco jsut tore his hand apart, and he played emeral turn two to
burn his hand, so once again bolmeteus came to finish the job, discard is so

friggin powerful.

Round 2!

Robby ( Bolmeteus Control ) vs Montey Eads ( Newfound Glory with a teched up

R/U/B )

Game 1-
Montey doesn't really have anything, and my hand control takes care of what
it is suppossed to, and he couldn't pull off merfolk, while i did pull of
merfolk. Bolmeteus came out and he top decked like 3 bolckers in a row, and
i din top deck nething to kill them, so finally he top decks like and emeral

and bolmeteus take out two sheilds, and it ends from there.

Game 2-
its a really close match, montey has tons of mana thanks to chargers, and
he's got me down to two sheilds. i go ahead and modify a sheild to be a holy

awe. now he plays corpse charger, and i think he's gonna get bazagazeal
dragon, but he chose thrash crawler? then he plays thrash crawler and he
brings back another corpse charger then chooses bazagazeal dragon, well at
first i was a bit confused but, his reason was that he thought my modified
sheild was terror pit. So it was valid reason. But i swing for the win after

lookin at his graveyard and seein 3 terror pits in them, so that was that.

Round 3!

Robby ( Bolmeteus Control ) vs Brayden ( Red/blue rush placed 11th at
nationals with his deck )
uh oh, i've never been really good against rush, but with this new deck i
wanna see how it goes, i knew my big sheild triggers are gonna be burst shot

but thats it, and iwas hoping i would draw my blockers.

Game 1-
i win the dice roll and i get to go first, so it starts off pretty good, and

i pull a turn 4 phantom fish. and he doesn't have really anything to stop
it, and he hits a terror pit with koc poloon and that little bird dies a
horrid death. then i volcano charger like there was no tommorrow on anything

i could get. Thrash crawler also makes an appearance and allows me to bring
volcano charger and blast one of his koc poloons, soon i mass up the
monsters and i blast the sheilds so i win.

Game 2-
AH im rushed, and he takes the win, i do bring out a phantom fish, but he
sprial gates it and i have no sheild triggers so he takes the win.

Game 3-
well this time he does mass the weenies and the first sheild he smacks is a
burst shot. Ahhh sweet! blockers come online, then bolmeteues and then it
was over.

woohoo i beat rush.

Round 4
Robby ( Bolmeteus Control ) vs David Woodward ( Survivors )
agh i hate playing woodward, he beat me bad this morning. I put the holy
awes especially for him.

Game 1-
well from observing montey earlier i devised a way to defeat woodward. And
its exactly what i do, i bring out early monsters, and i attack and attack
and attack. And it works i beat him this round with not a whole lot of
trouble.

Game 2-
the duel last a lot longer, but i do jsut about the same thing except
searing wave does its job and beats a bunch of davids monsters, and blam i
go for the win and the win happens.

YAY!

wow i was undefeated during swiss, so that was sweet

So i wind up playing Erics rush deck. i have never beaten Erics rush deck, i

don like rush. but i beat one earlier today, so hopefully i can do it again.

Round 1-

Robby ( Bolmeteus Control ) vs Eric ( Rush with holy awes splashed )

game 1-
i won the die roll, so phew. i just set a mana and nothing else. he of
course turn 1 braid claws. well i just set another mana, and then he summons

kamakazie chainsaw warrior, and braid claw hits a sheild and BLAM! burst
shot. so that makes me happy. well i turn three aqua hulcus, and i start
taking control. blockers such as phantom fish and thrash crawler make an
appearance and solidfy my control. then bolmeteus comes out and whaps every
single sheild he's got.

game 2-
well he goes first, and he doesn't get a turn 1 drop, so i am like thre hope

for me yet! well he gets me down to no sheilds. and he's got no hand, and a
kamakazie chain saw warrior. and i have a phantom fish on feild nothing
else. I had gotten rid of two rikabu screw drivers and 3 pyrofighter magnus'

two comet missiles were in his mana, so i was like ok all he can top deck is

1 pyrofighter 2 rikabu or 2 comet missles. So he top decks rikabu and wins.

game 3-
well i go first again, and he once again gets no turn one drop, so im like
YEA! and i get a pretty good start with emeral, the hulcus then loco, then i

handle his pyrofighters just fine, and then blockers come out and then
volcano chargers do there job and bolmeteus comes out and all the sheilds go

straight to the crapper.

woohoo!!!

Round 2!

Robby ( Bolmeteus Control ) vs Montey ( Teched up 3cc )
YES another top 2 make, im happy with the deck and i feel its almost ready
for 5 civi so if i win that just means its gonna do great!

game 1-
well i dono what happened. Its crazy earlier in the day i was doin great,
but i dono. he controled perfectly. Pulled merfolk off at the right times,
and hit everything he needed while i zero sheild triggers. he worked the
control perfectly. and i felt like i made mistakes i dono but i lost.

game 2-
the exact same thing, it was crazy he just played it perfeclty and did it
all perfectly. So he took the match well deserved while i once again fell
short again.

Overall Record-
2nd Place!

Well i was dissapointed to the point that i was so close to winning, BUT i
was pleased with how the deck did. i decided im takin this deck to 5 civi's
with more changes and a bit less cards, give me your opinions it'd be great!
