Deck Name:Murky Riptide Remix- RI Editon Store Name:
Disposable Heroes
Location: Johnston, Rhode Island
Format: 3 Rounds of Swiss style, top 4 advance
Fee: $10
Date:April 30, 2005
Yes, a Tot5C Report from Drizer. I had been currently using
my good friend Steven Cantrell's deck. Well, it turned on it
pwned my meta. So, I decided to use it for the tot5c.
Darkness [22]
4x Bloody Squito
4x Horrid Worm
4x Locomotiver
4x Death Smoke
4x Terror Pit
2x Proclamation of Death
Water [18]
4x Aqua Guard
4x Aqua Hulcus
2x Crystal Paladin
2x Crystal Lancer
4x Corile
2x Energy Stream
*Note-When I used it, instead of Proc, I had Serum.
Match 1:
Drizer vs. Steven Santangini
(His Deck- Black/Blue. Key Cards: Crystal Lancer, Chaos
Worm)
Steven has been playing around with Darkness using Chaos
Worms lately. This week, he mixed in water.
Round 1:
While I was setting up for some control with blockers, he
was off the board till turn 3. He didn't do much until turn
6 when he evo'd a Jolter to Lancer. His Lancer hit 2 sheilds,
one of them being Terror Pit. I Coriled his other creature
on the feild (Gregorian Worm maybe?) which was a major
set-back for him. I kept him off the feild. I waited for the
right turn to attack. I attacked with all of my creatures,
and to my surprise, I hit no sheild triggers.
1-0
Round 2:
This match was not at all going his way. He dropped a turn 4
Gregorian Worm.
I dropped a turn 4 Death Smoke. He was mad and then flashed
a Chaos Worm at me. Next turn he sends out an Aqua Jolter. I
again, death smoke his creature. By this point, he was
really mad at me. He flashes a Crystal Lancer at me. He
Emeral'd a sheild and I was curious what it was. I hit it
with one of my creatures and it was nothing. He then got a
Crystal Lancer on me, which next turn I Corle'd. Then, I
hittem with my Swarm with Crystal Lancer leading the charge.
2-0
Match 2:
Drizer vs Josh Richards
(His Deck: Mono Blue Lockdown. Key Cards: Angler Cluster,
Crystal Lancer) I didn't write many notes, but I had a very
fast hand with nothing over 4. I was trying to stall late in
the game, but it didn't go my way when he top-decked a
Crystal lancer
2-1
All Josh really cared about was getting 1 match on me. Now,
I was the 1 wanting to get 1 match on him.
Round 2:
While I had another quick hand, he didn't have much. He was
off the feild almost all game. He couldn't recover the feild.
3-1
Round 3:
I found myself stalling again late in the game stalling. And
again, he top-decked Lancer for his win.
3-2
Match 3:
Drizer vs. Mike Sullivan(Sully)
(His Deck: Water = Bounce, Fire = Power & Speed. Key cards:
Pyrofighter Magnus, Rikabu, the Dismantler)
Round 1:
I kept TOTAL feild control the whole game. I had Lancer out
for awhile and like it says on my notes, "Lancer = PWNAGE"
4-2
Round 2:
Again, my deck kept the field clear except for his
hand-returning Pyrofighter Magnus. I killed his Magnus with
my Squito. I easily won. I kept up with the sheild breaking,
and I was aware of speed attackers.
5-2
~~~~~*****Top 4 Cut-Off*****~~~~~
Top 4 Seeds:
1st. Gino Ritondo
2nd. Josh Richards
3rd. Dave/David Pendergrass/Drizer
4th. Steven Santangini
Match 4:
Drizer vs. Josh Richards
Round 1:
I found myself late in the game with 3 Coriles in hand. I
kept bouncing his creature back to the deck. Like most of my
matches, he had no feild. I was breaking his sheilds with
ease, he had nothing. I kept his field clear still. Until he
summoned some blockers. He stalled, until I pulled a Crystal
Paladin. ^^
6-2
Round 2:
I didn't write much down this match. I know we kept hitting
each other's sheilds back and forth. In the end, we both had
no sheilds, I barely pulled away a win.
7-2
~~~~~*****Top 2 Cut-Off*****~~~~~
1st. Gino Ritondo
2nd. Dave/David Pendergrass/Drizer
Finals/Championships
Drizer vs. Gino Ritondo
Round 1:
I don't remember much about this match. Iknow he nexus'd
some Aqua Surfers though. The win came to me. I had 2
chances to take the tournament.
8-2
Round 2:
This match I kept his feild and hand clean. When he drew, if
it was still in his hand, horrid worm would discard it. He
got a Dimension Gate, and searched for Crystal Paladin when
I had no sheilds. I had a Crystal Lancer on the field. If I
had played better, I would've attacked with Horrid Worm
first, the lancer to get rid of his Paladin, but I didn't
8-3
Round 3:
This match was for all the marbles. They brought out the box
and packs, and I couldn't get that box off my mind. I chose
to go first. My deck was running as it usually does, turn 1
and 2 blockers. A Turn 3 Aqua Hulcus. He didn't get on the
field until turn 4. I summoned a Paladin to get rid of his
only creature. I then saw this was my perfect chance, get to
his sheilds before he got to mine or before he laid down an
Aqua Surfer. He was pretty much off the feild the whole
game. I came away with my second Tot5C win. (In a row)
Yep, so I won my box ^^
