King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, El Shaddoll Apkallone ends Shaddoll week and is the new Fusion monster for the archetype. Needing two different Attribute Shaddoll monsters would be less practical until the new support came out. Protection against battle destruction is good for a 2500ATK monster. A free Impermanence off its Special Summon will turn off monster effects or help deal with things like Anti-Spell Fragrance or Mystic Mine. Not needing to Fusion Summon Apkallone to get this effect combos with Resh and Monster Reborn for more chances of negation. The negation being permanent helps when not targeting monsters. Apkallone’s add effect off hitting the grave can thin your deck or get back a resource you need at the moment. The discard can work if you discard a Shaddoll monster or Resh. Even if you add a Shaddoll only to discard it you shouldn’t lose out on advantage. Using both effects once per turn means you can use Apkallone with Shaddoll Fusion to get its second effect after benefiting from its first effect. Its ATK puts it at the middle of the pack for offensive power in the archetype, but you can wall up with it until you get to what you need. Advanced-4/5 Art-4/5 Until Next Time |
Crunch$G It’s time to get a new Fusion for Shaddolls, so we meet the new card in the arsenal in El Shaddoll Apkallone. Apkallone is a Level 6 DARK Spellcaster Fusion with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF. Good stats on a Level 6, being DARK and Spellcaster is excellent as well. Apkallone just needs 2 Shaddolls with different Attributes as materials considering Shaddolls already have a Fusion for every attribute and the Main Deck now has differing Attributes in the Main Deck besides EARTH and FIRE so far. It must first be Fusion Summoned, which is fine since there isn’t many other ways you’d want to get this out. It cannot be destroyed by battle, which isn’t too necessary on 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF, but nice either way. It also has two effects that are both hard once per turns. The first effect is upon being Special Summoned by any way, remember you don’t have to Fusion Summon as the only way it’s just the first time, you can target a face-up card on the field and negate its effects. This can be pretty good against a Floodgate or a monster you don’t want to have its effects trigger. It’s easy to use this on the opponent’s turn with El Shaddoll Fusion or Resh Shaddoll Incarnation as well. The other once per turn effect is if it’s sent to the graveyard, you can add a Shaddoll card from your Deck or graveyard to your hand and then discard a card. It’s nice to search the whole archetype and also having the potential to trigger a Shaddoll monster’s effect. It gets you to your Shaddoll Fusion cards or any monster you need that you might want to trigger with the discard or get the FLIP effect later. Apkallone is a useful option to have for Shaddolls, even though Construct and Winda are better, and is a worthy 1 of to have since the Extra Deck is tight. Alex Searcy So, briefly before my review, we have (that Austin/Crunch, as well as Bill/Pojo were kind enough to indulge me) a no particular theme of randoms next week chosen by me. But I’ll save the why as to Monday. Just a heads up y’all El Shaddoll Apakallone closes the week, and it’s appropriate to look at a Fusion after yesterday. Dark/Spellcaster/Level 6 with 2500 attack and 2000 defense, so things look good to start. Fusion requirement here is two Theme Monsters with different attributes. So, first we see this card MUST be Fusion Summoned, which isn’t great, but it also has immunity to Battle Destruction, which is. Two effects attached here, each of which you can use, once per turn. *If Special Summoned, you can Target a card on the Field (face-up) and negate its effect(s). Which is great. Even a one turn negation of Monster effects is a great thing to have at your disposal. Could give you the time you need to destroy a card in question too. *If sent to the Graveyard (no regulation as to how or by which player, which we like) you get to add ANY Shaddoll card (Monster, Magic, or Trap) from your Deck OR Graveyard to your Hand. You then discard one card. Getting a resource, either new from the Deck, or used from the Graveyard that easily is fantastic. Discarding a card (not even necessarily a Theme card) is great too. It’s a great card in the Theme, without a question. Rating: 4.5/5 Art: 4.75/5 This is a Spellcaster how? I mean, Tuesday was a Psychic, and she looks the same? The beast she’s riding on almost looks like a mutated Mystical Beast Serket. But the art and color use here is very awesome. |
