Hello Pojo Fans,

Evil HERO Sinister Necrom does things a little better than its counterpart Necroshade.

Where Necroshade can only Normal Summon a HERO Level 5 or higher without tribute once while in the grave, Necrom Special Summons any Evil HERO from the hand or deck when you banish him. Deck thin, wider range of monsters, easy conditions to be met that can be used again once Necrom is brought back to the grave in some form (Burial From a Different Dimension). Necroshade is only high level HERO monsters, which there are two, Necrom has many more targets. You have to do more with Necroshade to use its effect again and again: drop in the grave > use > get it out of the grave > get it back to the grave > use again. Necrom is banish to use > return to the grave to use again.

Necrom is better than its counterpart, even if it caters only to Evil HEROS.

From a Captain Gold retrain to a Necroshade retrain, here is Evil HERO Sinister Necrom.

Necrom is a Level 5 DARK Fiend with 1600 ATK and 1800 DEF. Stats weren’t good on Necroshade and they aren’t good here, though being a DARK Fiend is a better combo than LIGHT Fiend from yesterday. You can banish this card from the graveyard to summon any Evil HERO from the deck that isn’t another Sinister Necrom. Almost similar to Destiny HERO – Malicious, only it summons the entire archetype from the deck instead of just itself. You got Adusted Gold from yesterday to get an easy 2100 body on board, Infernal Gainer to give another Fiend the double attacking ability, Infernal Prodigy to let you draw a card if it was used for a Tribute Summon a HERO, and Malicious Edge to be a piercer that you can summon from the deck instead of drawing and Tribute Summoning. The options are ok, though not amazing, even though if the options were better, this deck would be meta and this card would get banned ASAP, so the options had to be weaker. Still, it’s a free body on board and this is easy to get into the grave by just using it as Fusion Material. The effect of Sinister Necrom is a hard once per turn, because still summoning from the deck for basically free is super good. It’s another card that you can throw into your deck if you have Evil HEROs to help get another free monster, plus it’s easy to get this to the grave to begin with.

Art: 5/5 Yeah, because Necroshade didn’t look evil already.

Today we look at an evil retrain of Elemental Hero Necroshade, in the form of Evil Hero Sinister Necrom.  I don’t see why someone with Evil in their name would need Sinister also.  It seems redundant.  Much like Necroshade, a Dark/Fiend, with undesirable stats of 1600/1800 respectively, and only being Level 5, none of that on the immediate surface shouts ‘play me’.

But also like Necroshade, there is a removal effect attached here, but unlike Necroshade, who has a rather paltry effect, this one is rather good.  Removing Necrom from your Graveyard lets you Special Summon ANY Evil Hero from your Hand or Deck.  The possibilities here are delicious.  It’s odd, but not bad, that it doesn’t include or isn’t restricted to your Graveyard, but more options make for more plays.

You can’t bring out another Necrom with this effect, but much like yesterday, I don’t really see why this would be your choice anyway.  This effect is only once per turn, and (again) like yesterday.  This doesn’t allow Fusion plays directly, so I don’t see this quite as good as Adjusted Gold, but it likely gets you whatever PIECE you need, so it’s an essential play in the Deck too.

Art:  4.5/5  Necroshade wasn’t the friendliest looking hero, but this guy does look evil (and sinister?) I suppose.  Great use of colors here.
