Saikyo Cardfighter R So we have our new main finisher, for those not quite gelling with Soul Saver Dragon. In exchange for less comfortable ways to use Exculpate compared to Vague, he comes with something better: a pseudo-restand. You go -1 overall (-2 if you have to ride back up to grade 3 for the turn you actually DON’T finish him with Exculpate) in exchange for a Blaster Blade VG attack, with +1 Critical as long as you satisfy Blaster Blade’s 4 RG requirements. That basically means that all Force Gifts will have to be plonked onto VG circle if the intent is to have Exculpate carry weight, because 2 VG attacks need to be centralised and you cannot move Force Gifts as needed. The board wipe is a very handy bonus that doesn’t give any drawbacks, unless we get something like a Rubidium for Standard, the bastard. No way to actually search Exculpate relegates him to a deck that’s got enough grade 3s to count (I would go at least seven rideable Grade 3s and three copies of this) and quite a lot of planning around him, but his reward is actually decent for the liberties taken. 3/5 |
