We’ve looked at Firewall Dragon several times before, but never in its post-errata form, so let’s change that today.

Firewall Dragon is a Link-4 LIGHT Cyberse with 2500 ATK and arrows pointing Up, Down, Left, and Right. So another good Type and Attribute alongside decent ATK and arrows useful for Firewall Dragon’s purpose. 2+ monsters summons this, so even more generic than yesterday’s Link. Once while this is face-up on the field, you get a Quick Effect to bounce cards from either player’s field or graveyard to the hand up to the number of co-links this card is in, which max should be 3. Getting 3 bounces as a Quick Effect is great, or 3 monsters recovered from the grave to make more plays. Second effect triggers upon a monster this card points to being sent to the graveyard, letting you summon a Cyberse monster from the hand, which is good for Cyberse Decks to extend plays likely for making Link Monsters. It’s a far cry from being able to summon any monster from the hand off this effect like the pre-errata effect, same for the fact that now both effects are a hard once per turn to prevent too much spamming and bounce looping. With all that said, Firewall Dragon is still a fine card. It’s probably more for Cyberse Decks now, though anything can make use of that bounce if they can co-link this. Still a good card, thankfully not broken anymore.

From one big, powerful Link Monster to another, here’s Firewall Dragon.  Link 4, Light/Cyberese, 2500 attack, and arrows to the immediate up/down and left/right.  Link Summon simply requiring 2+ Monsters, generic at that.  So a one time use Quick Effect lets you Target Monsters on the Field and/or in the Graveyards and cycle them back to the respective Hands.  You can choose up to as many Monsters are co-linked to this card when you use the Effect.  So you can use this offensively and defensively.  Rid something off from your opponent that you can’t get over or don’t have an answer to.  Or cycle cards of your own back to reuse Effect(s) from either place.  You get to Special Summon a Cyberese from your Hand when a Monster this card points to is destroyed in Battle or sent to the Graveyard.  Open ended Effects are always the best, and since that’s optional, you really should be able to use this every time you have a card to do so in that situation.  Each Effect can be used once per Turn.  This guy works well on his own and with his own, but he’s obviously a great, and quick combo card too.  Throw in the 2500 attack they give you too, you’ve got a great card here.

Rating:  4.25/5

Art:  3.5/5  I do actually rather like this, but I want more actual fire, and less digital cyber fires
