Wow. I like him. Back in premier I was in love
with this card. I was military crazy but my
attempt at finding these were unsuccessful. But
seriously he is really good. He can gain 4-5
points late game. So I think he's quite
powerful.
4/5 that is all

Veteran
Alchemists "Military Elite"
8 Cost Military Faction
Human - Soldier - State Alchemist
4 Strength 4 Wits 5 Alchemy
Veteran Alchemists gets +1 to each
attribute for each location in your victory
pile.
Veteran Alchemists "Military Elite" was the
promo card you got in 2005 for every 10
tournaments you participate in. And boy, is it
worth it.
Positives: If you play a Military deck, this
card is the BOMB. I have watched many players
recoil in horror when Veteran Alchemists hits
the field. It's just a tough nut to crash is all
I can say. Late in the game, if
you've won at least 4 locations, the Veteran
Alchemists is a total beast coming in at a
8/8/9. Tack on "Hakuro: General" and you're
looking at a 9/9/9. And that's without
attachments. There aren't many allies that can
stand up to that. Heck, even some leaders can't
stand up to it. It's definitely well worth the 8
command it takes to bring it out. If you're
running Basque Grand or Maes Hughes, this is
definitely a staple card.
Negatives: Well, there are a few downsides to
this card as well. First off, it is an 8 cost.
So, if you're not playing Military, you're
looking at level
3 before you can bring them out. And if you
decide to bring them out and you're not playing
Military, pray your opponent doesn't have "By
Order of the Fuhrer". The biggest downside to
Veteran Alchemists is that you need to have won
locations. So, if you're opponent has you 7-0,
then you're just out
of luck. Situational cards are always a risk
because you might not always have the right
conditions to make the card useful.
But overall, I have to say that this is
definitely a good card. It can work pretty well
with just about any alchemy deck (late game mind
you), but it's best suited for Military decks.
I give Veteran Alchemists "Military Elite" 4 out
of 5.
