Pojo's FMA Card of the Day
MILLER |
Well, my
birthday was yesterday, the big 21, but I'm back
and ready to do some reviews this week for cards
I specifically chose. The first of which is the
only Sloth leader in Seven Deadly Sins.
Unfortunately, this leader isn't THAT
spectacular. Fortunately it is a chase level 1
Sloth, which means your Sloth leader stack can
be very pretty. The leader itself isn't
necessarily better or worse than Fluid, but its
effect can be just as useful at locations you
want to fight for early in the game. Another
unfortunate is the cost of the card you reveal
has to be the exact same cost as an ally that
your opponent has in play, which, if you are
playing Sloth you are probably using her for her
level 3 Xe, meaning you will be running a ton of
higher cost allies, so early in the game, the
effect isn't that useful. This Sloth is really
only aesthetically pleasing, and not practical
for a highly competitive deck.
In sealed, she can be ok if you can somehow pull
a level 2 Sloth as well. In constructed, neither
of the 2 6 command Sloths are that spectacular
so I'd suggest using this one if you have the
chase.
Sealed 2/5: You probably won't get a level 2, so
she's not that great.
Constructed 5/5: Just as good as Fluid and 6
command is a must.

It's another
week of Seven Deadly Sins leaders! I have
decided from here on forth a different format
for reviewing leaders. Since comparing different
leaders is like comparing apples to oranges, I
will now compare leaders to the other options
that are available at that level. So let's start
this week by comparing Sloth, Just a Secretary
to her other level 1 6 command, Sloth, Fluid.
First off attribute wise they are exactly the
same being at a 2/3/0. So we're going to have to
take an in-depth look at their abilities for
what sets them apart. And both actually go
towards helping you win those early locations.
Although one is slightly more defensive while
the other is more offensive. Just a Secretary is
the defensive one hoping that you can reveal an
ally that will help you set their biggest threat
early game. Whereas Fluid makes you more
comfortable with challenging your opponent on
early locations since you know you'll always
recover Sloth (unless your opponent happens to
have a well placed Pressure, but let's assume
they don't).
So which one is better? I think the advantage is
going to have to go to Fluid for two reasons.
First off Just a Secretary's ability cost 1 more
wits than you start so unless you started Lust,
Handmaiden, you'll be pitching a card for it.
Second, there is no guarantee that the card you
reveal will be of any use. Since you have to set
a character with the exact same cost there may
be no allies with that cost or you may end up
having to set one of your own allies since the
setting is not optional and must be done.
Overall I think Fluid is a bit more consistent
and might catch your opponent off guard and cost
them an ally early game.
Pros:
-6 command
-Early game board control
Cons:
-Ability is not free to use
-Too inconsistent to rely on
Constructed: 2/5-It really all comes down to a
personal choice and I personally give Fluid the
edge over this card.
