Regionals announced for Fullmetal Alchemist TCG
May 10, 2006

CHARLOTTE, NC (May 9, 2006) -- Maybe you've won your Sensei's Trial, or maybe you're looking for another way to get to the Fullmetal Alchemist TCG World Championships. What are you going to do for your championship-level FMA TCG fix? Win your Regional Championship, that's what!

JoyRide Entertainment is pleased to announce the 2006 FMA TCG Regional Championship circuit! In each of the 14 FMA TCG regions, there will be one local Regional Championship tournament open to all players and run at a local retailer or gaming club. Some regions will have multiple Regional Championships if there is a convention that JoyRide Entertainment is running events at. A Regional Championship at a convention does not mean that a store in that region cannot run a Regional Championship. For example, Rush Valley (California, Hawaii) will have three Regional Championships: one at San Diego Comic-Con, one at Anime Expo in Anaheim, and another at a local retailer in the Rush Valley area.

Applying for an FMA TCG Regional Championship is easy. All you have to do is download this application (http://www.fma-tcg.com/media/Regionalapplication.pdf) and return it to JoyRide Entertainment by May 26. Regionals can be run on any date from June 16 to August 6 - the proposed date of the event must be present or the application will be automatically rejected. Only retailers or State Alchemists (with the consent of a retailer) may apply for a Regional Championship. Approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis, and only one store per region will be accepted. The fee for running an FMA TCG Regional Championships is $50, which includes prize support.

The prize support for the Regional Championship is incredible. First and foremost, the top two finishers from each Regional Championship will qualify for the FMA TCG World Championship in August at Gen Con Indy. The top 24 finishers at each Regional Championship will receive a copy of the exclusive Envy, Homunculus promo card, and each Regional Championship will receive 10 random foils and 10 random chase cards from previous FMA TCG sets to supplement the prizes. The Regional Champion will also receive a complete chase set from one of the previous FMA TCG sets (Premier Edition, Blood & Water, Artificial Human, and A Hero's Passing).

Sound good to you? Let your State Alchemist or retailer know that you and your friends want to compete at a Fullmetal Alchemist TCG Regional Championship! There are no travel restrictions, and players can compete in as many Regional Championships as they can attend, regardless of where they live. Regional Championships are Tier B events and decklists are required.
