JoyRide offers special deal for
Heavy Duty Fullmetal Alchemist TCG cards
September 21, 2006 If you bought cards from
JoyRide Entertainment at a summer convention, you
probably walked away with one or more of the
limited-edition Heavy Duty (HD) cards. Now, JoyRide
is offering players a new way to pick up these
exclusive cards, as well as providing retailers with
a great way to boost their Fullmetal Alchemist TCG
sales and tournament support!
Qualified retailers (those listed in the FMA TCG
store locator) should send an e-mail to retailers@fma-tcg.com
with "HD offer" in the subject. Include in the body
of the e-mail your store's name; mailing address is
not required (since it should be in the store
locator, but please take the time to ensure your
information is up-to-date) but it would be helpful.
In one to three weeks, JoyRide will send your store
50 of each of the eight HD cards, for a total of 400
cards, free of charge!
Our suggestion is to use the bulk as retail
incentives, much as we did at summer conventions:
For every $10 (or three booster packs, if you have a
price lower than the $3.50 MSRP) a customer spends
on FMA TCG, he or she receives an HD card of his or
her choice. They're a great bonus for new players
who need to flesh out their leader stack,
experienced players looking for that extra "zing"
for their deck, or for collectors looking for
something unique and distinctive. The cards can also
be used to supplement prizes for tournaments or as
giveaways for other programs.
Note that this offer is open to retail stores only.
Players who wish to obtain the HD cards should
contact their local retailer and encourage him or
her to follow the above instructions. Please limit
one kit per retailer per month. No substitutions for
individual cards are permitted.
The HD cards come in eight varieties (Alphonse
Elric, Edward Elric, Envy, Lust, Maes Hughes, Roy
Mustang, Scar, and Psiren) and are printed on
high-quality glossy stock and are twice as thick as
a regular card. They have fully playable leader
cards on the front and their faction logo on the
