Generaider Boss Stage
– #MYFI-EN034
Once per turn, if a card(s) is added from the Main Deck to your opponent’s hand (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 “Generaider” monster from your Deck in Defense Position. If you Special Summon a “Generaider” monster(s) during your opponent’s turn (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon as many “Generaider Tokens” (Fairy/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1500/DEF 1500) as possible in Attack Position, but destroy them during the End Phase (even if this card leaves the field). You can only use this effect of “Generaider Boss Stage” once per turn.

King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Generaider Boss Stage is the best way to summon your Generaider monsters…with a catch. Getting a boss monster and a field full of tokens (even if they die in the End Phase) is a great trade for your opponent adding cards to the hand (even in the Draw Phase). You don’t want to give them cards, you hope to plus off your opponent using cards like Extravagance, Allure, or RoTA. Each Generaider has a Quick Effect, minus Mardel, but you get the search off her summon. You have to protect this card and you NEED this turn one. By any means you’ve gotta have this card to start. Your opponent gets a card and you get a Level 9 that can control certain aspect(s) of the game and make it hard for them. You lose the tokens each End Phase but you keep the Generaider monster, no problems there. If you trigger it during your turn (Dark World Dealings) you can use those tokens more offensively for Extra Deck summoning and tribute fodder for tribute summoning your Generaider monsters. As long as you aren’t giving your opponent cards, Generaider Boss Stage is a great card for the archetype. Advanced-4/5 Art-3.5/5 Until Next Time |
Crunch$G And now for the way you’ll probably be summoning your Generaider monsters outside support options like World Legacy Monstrosity and Lonefire Blossom (for Mardel) and outside the future support the archetype will get, Generaider Boss Stage. Boss Stage is a Field Spell that once per turn, if a card is added from your opponent’s Deck to their hand (doesn’t have to be a card effect, so the Draw Phase will be your best bet) at any time except the Damage Step, you can summon any Generaider from your Deck in Defense Position. Getting a giant boss on the field just for your opponent drawing for turn, for them searching, or for you letting them draw just to trigger this is fairly good and makes up for most of them having somewhat meh stats. If you Special Summon a Generaider during your opponent’s turn, however, you get to summon as many Generaider Tokens as possible in Attack Position and they’ll be Level 4 LIGHT Fairies with 1500 ATK and DEF. The stats won’t matter too much as mostly they’ll be tribute fodder for the Generaider Bosses that need tributes for their effects, which is great to always get free tribute fodder for a summon or effect. The Tokens won’t last long on the field if not tributed since they’ll be destroyed during the End Phase, unless you protect them somehow, and this is fine to prevent Link Spam in a Deck not intended to Link Spam. The Token effect is a hard once per turn, unlike the summon from Deck, though your field will likely be too full to utilize the Token Spam again. Boss Stage helps get the archetype going into making plays for defense if not helping get a Rank 9 on the field. The card is easy to get to in the archetype as well, but it’s so important that I feel you should still max out on it. Advanced Rating: 4.25/5 Art: 4/5 I mean, not too detailed but still pretty. |
Alex Searcy Generaider Boss Stage is a Field Magic card for the Archetype. This has a mouthful of text, so let’s see if any of this is actually any good. Your opponent adding a card(or cards) from their Deck to their Hand (even counting the Draw Phase, but excluding the Damage Step) lets you Special Summon a Generaider Monster from your Deck in defense position. Wow, a free Boss Monster just for your opponent’s Normal Draw Phase? That is superbly phenomenal. Special Summoning a Generaider Monster during your opponent’s turn (not even from this effect specifically, again, save during the Damage Step) gives you the option to flood the field with Tokens. Fairy/Light/Level 4, each with 1500 attack and defense. Each Token is Summoned in Attack position and is destroyed during the End Phase. (Even if this card leaves the Field). I love most about this effect is that it’s optional. You CAN Special Summon as many Tokens as your Field allows. You can’t use or abuse these Tokens for Link or Extra Deck things (unless you protect them from self-destructing) but that’s appropriate. This is rather good, and easy enough to abuse. Rating: 4.5/5 Art: 4/5 It’s pretty, but more or less bland at the same time. I don’t know what I honestly expected or would prefer this to be, but it’s not bad. |
