Hello Pojo Fans,

Gimmick Puppet Fantasix Machinix is a one-card Rank-Up into Chaos forms for Gimmick Puppets.

Two Level 8 Monsters needed for this generic Rank 8 with a lot of DEF, Fantasix Machinix is your Rank-Up Spell searcher to get to your Chaos forms. Trading a material to get a Rank-Up Spell that will get you to the Chaos version of your Xyz is a great 1-for-1, especially when Fantasix Machinix has its own Chaos form and will be able to further get you advantage (more on that on Friday). An additional Normal Summon for a Machine-Type after activating this search can mean a Rank 4 or Link 2 off two summons of Level 4 Gimmick Puppets, or, just get you another body on board to further swarm. The extra Normal Summon for a Machine is only once per turn, but you can detach any amount of materials to continue to search for Rank-Up Spell Cards. Two searches in a turn off detaching materials is usually once per turn.

Machinix can Special Summon itself back from the Graveyard whenever you Special Summon a Gimmick Puppet Xyz Monster. You get a Rank-Up Spell added back to your hand from the grave if you choose, and you can Special Summon Machinix to either side of the field in defense. Getting back a Rank-Up Spell from your grave is great to re-use on a different Gimmick Puppet Xyz you may have summoned, but this being able to put itself on your opponent’s side of the field works with Giant Grinder and it’s Chaos form’s ability to destroy an opponent’s Special Summoned monster and do burn if it’s an Xyz Monster. It isn’t a lot of burn damage, but when you are pushing the damage that Gimmick Puppets can, 1500LP damage can be a difference maker, especially if you are using its effect three times per turn.

Machinix is a good way to get to your Rank-Up Spells as well as be a one-card Rank-Up into its Chaos form. Self-Special Summon ability woven within the archetype’s strategy that also pays for itself with getting back a Rank-Up Spell on its summon from the grave. It gets you to its Chaos form, then can come back once you detach it off the Chaos form and then summon another Gimmick Puppet Xyz, setting up to be fodder for being burned. You can also use it yourself to summon out another Chaos version of itself or use it for a Link Summon. This is an Xyz that supports the entire archetype strategy to its fullest.

Midweek brings us a brand new Xyz Monster designed after Quattro, and it’s the only Rank 8 that isn’t a Number in the archetype: Gimmick Puppet Fantasix Machinix.

Fantasix Machinix is a Rank 8 DARK Machine Xyz with 1500 ATK and 3100 DEF. That’s a big DEF stat for a Rank 8, also we remain DARK Machine like all other Gimmick Puppets. Materials are any 2 Level 8 monsters, so generic like all the other Rank 8s in the Deck, and the Deck mainly only locking you out of your Extra Deck on what you can do does give room for a Horus package to summon this. Anyways, detach a material to search for any Rank-Up-Magic Spell and you also get an additional Normal Summon of any Machine during your Main Phase that turn. This really does everything for the Deck, getting you to your Argent Chaos Force to summon your Number C/CXyz monsters while also giving you a Normal Summon to keep making more plays as well if needed. This also has another effect to help the Deck, triggering in the grave when you summon a Gimmick Puppet Xyz, letting you then revive this to either player’s field in Defense Position and then you can add a Rank-Up-Magic from your graveyard to your hand. Getting the Rank-Up is great for the Xyz you likely summoned to turn it into its Number C/CXyz form, plus this comes back to either field for whichever purpose you need it for, either your field to summon the Link or the opponent’s field to destroy it with Number 15 or Number C15. Each effect is a HOPT of course, but that’s fine. This helps make the FTK consistent by searching and recovering your Rank-Up-Magics while also providing an extra Normal Summon in case you need it to keep making Xyzs in the Deck. Since the Deck does lock you to Gimmick Puppets from it for the most part, you’ll likely cram the Extra Deck with them, so 2 of this works for sure, especially since you got the space after Number 40 and Number C40 both went to 1.

Art: 5/5 Now we need Chronomalys, Heraldic Beasts, and… Dyson Sphere designed based off their users.

Continuing the trend of monsters themed after duelists from the anime, Quattro himself has graced us with his presence as Gimmick Puppet Fantasix Machinix, a Rank 8 DARK Machine Xyz monster. It’ll take any two level 8 monsters, so while it’s technically generic, Gimmick Puppet will of course make the most use of it. Fantasix has a very low attack stat of 1500 for a Rank 8, though it makes up for it with a slightly above average defense stat of 3100. It’s actually a good thing Fantasix has pretty low attack, for reasons that will be abundantly clear as the week continues.

Fantasix has two hard once per turn effects, the first being two-fold; by detaching an Xyz material, you can search any Rank-Up-Magic Spell, then gain an additional Normal Summon for a Machine monster that turn. Both of these are very useful, though the first one is obviously the main one since the deck’s new boss monster unfortunately does not have an innate Rank-Up, forcing you to use a Rank-Up-Magic Spell. Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force is the prime target, as you can use it three times in one turn when combined with Fantasix’s other effect to churn out multiple CXyz Gimmick Puppets for the FTK. That effect triggers if you Special Summon any Gimmick Puppet Xyz monster, letting you revive Fantasix from the Graveyard to either field in defense position, then recycle a Rank-Up-Magic Spell from your Graveyard. Another effect with twofold implications! You can revive Fantasix to your field and immediately use your Rank Up Spell on it for another body, or you can revive it to your opponent and, like with Service Puppet Play, force the trigger of their new boss monster and burn your opponent for some decent damage. The additional Normal Summon is nice, but it’s mostly for emergency extending when something inevitably goes wrong with the combo. Like most cosplay cards, Fantasix is a fantastic combo bridge and playmaker that makes everything possible for a former laughing stock of a deck. It’s still weak to Hand Traps, especially without Mansion of the Dreadful Dolls, but you can’t really ask for more.

+Easy to make and quickly enables CXyz Gimmick Puppet Fanatix Machinix
+Versatile revival effect for either burning or extending
-Low attack means relatively weak burns when forced to your opponent
-Vulnerable to many classic Hand Traps as well as Bystials
