Gimmick Puppet Bisque Doll works in tandem with Terror Baby.

Special Summon off a Gimmick Puppet discard sets up the Normal Summon of Terror Baby, netting you three monsters and likely a Rank 8 Summon. Where Baby protects Gimmick Puppets from being negated when banished, Doll protects them from targeting. It would be better if Doll was a Quick-Effect, but it isn’t entirely useless in the graveyard. She will protect you from Quick-Effects and Hand Traps, but her better utility is getting a Level 8 Gimmick Puppet in the grave to be brought back by some means for more Rank or Link Summons.

A pretty simple monster for the archetype. Searchable, plenty of support, and a good effect when used in conjunction with other cards.

From a Level 4 we get to what the archetype is mostly known for, the Level 8s and a new one here in Gimmick Puppet Bisque Doll.

Bisque Doll is a Level 8 DARK Machine with 1000 ATK and DEF. Like every other Gimmick Puppet main deck monster, it has bad stats and like most other Gimmick Puppets a good type/attribute combination. You can Special Summon this card from the hand by discarding a Gimmick Puppet monster. No once per turn for this effect and it sets up the graveyard for Dreary Doll to help get to your Rank 8s faster, which is something the deck can always use more of considering it’s their signature strategy. A body on board for minimal cost is perfectly fine in the archetype, especially since it does like graveyard setup like I mentioned. You can also banish Bisque Doll from the graveyard to make your Gimmick Puppet monsters untargetable by the opponent for the turn. It does protect your Gimmick Puppets from cards like Infinite Impermanence and Effect Veiler, but this is an effect I wish was a Quick Effect to keep your Rank 8s safe from targeting removal. It’s basically a bonus effect, though, so I guess I don’t need to ask for too much more. It helps get to Rank 8s and, like yesterday’s graveyard effect, helps your plays go through. I’d say a few copies are worthwhile since at worst it is Trade-In fodder.

Gimmick Puppet Bisque Doll, this time is Dark and Level 8, still a Machine (still don’t know why) with 1000 attack and defense.  That’s troublesome, as were the attack and defense yesterday, but this card has some good things attached as well.  Ditching a theme Monster from your Hand lets you Special SUmmon this card from your Hand, giving you an instance Level 8 on the Field.

I love there’s no once per turn clause here, so IF you happened to have two of these in Hand, with two Monsters to pitch, there’s Rank 8 Extra Deck plays in Motion in a single turn.  Or dump a Level 8 to bring this out (maybe another of herself) and Special Summon her from the Graveyard and still sitting pretty.  A bit more involved in bringing her out, with the discard, as opposed to yesterday, but still great.

Removing Bisque Doll from your Graveyard from play prevents your opponent from Targeting your Theme Monsters with card effects for the duration of said turn.  This is the potato potatoe effect from yesterday.  Remove whichever you need at the time for the protection you desire, or both even.  Neither is a Quick Effect, but I’m still appreciation this protection attached.  Another good card

Art:  5/5  Love the art, but the name makes no sense.   This doll is pretty, the blues in the background are great.  But this doll isn’t French, and there’s no Bisque (French ‘soup’ for the unknowing) in this at all.
