Hey, people. I've recently been playing the card Accio and found a cool
combo which makes you basically lose nothing when playing Norbert. It includes
Norbert, Accio, and Hermione. Before I go on, I'd like to take the time to
quickly review these cards, just for flavor ;-) ...
Norbert
My Rating: 5 out of 5
Use It?: Yes, use it if you're playing a Creature deck- he's the king! You
may have to discard 2 CMCs, but he's relatively cheap at 4 Lessons, and with
Accio and Hermione, he's awesome. Just include Vermillious, too, so that way you
can wipe out a Norbert your opponent may lay out.
Accio
My Rating: 4 out of 5
Use It?: It's definitely playable. If you have a lot of Creatures and
Spells that cause you to discard Lessons, have at least 2 or 3 Accios to get
them back.
Hermione Granger
My Rating: 5 out of 5
Use It?: She's arguably the most useful Starting Character and possibly the
most widely-used. If you have a lot of high-cost cards, Hermione's almost a
must. The ability to play 2 Lessons per Action can give you a head-up on your
opponent.
Okay, on to the combo...
For this combo to work, you should have Hermione as your Starting
Character. Play Norbert for your first Action. You will, of course, have to
discard 2 CMC Lessons. As your second Action, play Accio to take those 2 CMCs
back from your discard pile. On your next turn, use Hermione's ability to put
both CMC Lessons back into play. You've now lost no Lessons for
playing Norbert! I'd reccommend using this strategy in the mid-game when you
have a good amount of Lessons out already, because in the early-game, the Action
you used to play Accio could've been used to play Lessons you had in your hand.
It's important to get as many Lessons as possible into play in the early stages
of the game.
