No Lessons, Spells, Locations, Creatures, Items, or Matches

The strategy is to get out a ton of Characters and get their abilities all used. Griphook, Snape, and Pomfrey put difference in the deck sizes, and Peeves can do some damage too. However, what really shrinks their deck is how many cards they draw to solve adventures. After that there’s another adventure put down.

I have only lost to another type of these decks (I think).

This deck would be extremely expensive to put together in real life, however in the wonderful world of apprentice, it’s pretty cheap.  Now I really like some of the adventures and characters you added, but I got a few tweaks that I think will improve the deck and make your victories a little easier to come by and perhaps help you win against other lesson less decks.

Characters:

I really like your choice of characters.  There is one or two I don’t think we need and I would really like to see you max out on the important characters.  4 Fred and George Weasley’s are definitely a must since they’re essential for playing your adventures.  Plus I think you’ll want another Filch to deal with adventures and other decks like this yours.   I also am getting rid of Draco, because he doesn’t help that much and you could use some more copies of the other characters.  I’ll show you my minor tweaks below.

Adventures:

You have a good base of adventures to work from, and I’m going to tweak them to make sure you have a balance of adventures to deal w/ spells, to deal w/ creatures, and some adventures to just plain annoy your opponent.  Human Chess Game is just brutal because you can use Crabbe & Goyle’s power and they still can’t play any cards.  Riding the Centaurs will help with those pesky creatures and really provide relief in that department.

Here are my changes:

Characters:

+1 Fred and George

+1 Crabbe and Goyle

+1 Argus Filch

-3 Draco Malfoy

Adventures:

+2 Human Chess Game

+3 Riding the Centaur

-2 Pep Talk

-3 Harry Hunting

Here is the final Deck:

I know I didn’t change much with this deck, the deck works well on its own accord.  I felt that you definitely need four copies of certain characters to help make sure you got them out, and I don’t think Draco Malfoy was doing that much for you.  All in all I feel like this deck is strong and the minor changes should help you win some more games.  As always, you should continue to tweak the deck to make sure you can deal with all the variants that may arise.  Best of luck.

Lockhart.
