Ok Mark. Let’s see if we can at least give you a fighting chance against those kinds of decks. Beating them consistently takes an incredibly different kind of deck, but you can give yourself a better chance at beating them with this start. The real key to destroying those decks is the use of lesson depreciation cards…so we will try to stock you with at least 4 of them.

CHARACTERS

I believe your choices are pretty good. You will use Neville if you are facing a creature deck, so he isn’t that bad of a choice just to have one of.

ADVENTURES

Pep Talk, Into The Forbidden Forest, Harry Hunting and In the Stands are not that useful. So let’s stay with Hagrid Needs Help. You have it in 2 different places on your list but they total 4 and that is what you need. They are at least one round effective in all cases, so it is a great adventure card.

CREATURES

OK here we need to revamp. You are not getting enough out fast enough. I love your theme here and we’ll stick to it. Let’s go with 4 Pet Toads and 2 Trevors. Burn the Kelpies, Fluffys, and Norberts. Let’s bulk up the Fox, add Doxy(for defense), and add Wolf.

SPELLS

You have a few unnecessary cards in there and you are missing the prime directive against any spell heavy deck…Lost Notes is a must! So after some swapping around and trying not to disrupt your deck idea too much we should have a little stronger deck.

LESSONS

You need to get to those Trans sooner now so you can play those Notes as soon as possible on the items that make those big spells possible. So Trans goes up a little here.
