and creatures but i think i need more cards because i have a lot of singles. I
am getting a Quidditch cup BOX for Christmas so if you have any tips for my
deck could you please fix it. THANK YOU!!!!

====================
Well yes, you have lots of singles, and that isn’t always a bad
thing. A deck like this can fool your opponent’s defense really well. However,
you must have been struggling with lessons and power.
I never like to change someone’s starting character, but in this
case it is necessary. You need better lesson control than you do peaking into
their hand. So, Draco is out and Flitwick is in. This is so you can do without
all the charms lessons.
You asking to go no high than 8 needed lessons for anyone spell
(this will change to 7), but potion spells do eat up lessons. So go with 2
Borrowed Wands and 2
Pewter Cauldrons instead. As soon as you get 2
lessons on the table one of the Borrowed Wands can be played because of
Flitwick. At this point you are already at 5 power (if you get one into play).
The 2 Pewter Cauldrons are good because you
can have both of them into play so the work to keep you over 7 and you can
spend your potion lessons on the spells. Fluffy Falls Asleep is better
traded for Cage, because it can sit out there until you need it and it gives
you another COMC power.
You need the distribution to fit the spells and creatures, but
also when the time they are usually accessible to play in the game. Your deck
now no longer needs charms and you never were even close to enough potions. So
you will want to play creatures before spells and you need to have enough
potions to survive the spells like those that you do play. So lets redistribute
like so.
You are going to have creatures that don’t cost you lessons,
because it will be too hard to maintain lessons need for anything else. 9 COMC
is usually good for one on the opening draw and the rest will got to potions.
So we will just swap charm for potions (saving one for a spell card later). In
your deck, 23 total should work out OK since you have good items.
Like I said above you need the no lesson costing creatures. So you
should get to 5 or more lessons at the end of your second to third turn, most
of the time. Your creatures will start at 5 power and up. Fox, Wolf, and G-dog
are your best bets and we will max those out.
Lets start with the charms. It sounds like old hat, but you need
spells that do damage to both creatures and/or opponent. So Mishap is history
and so is Foul Brew. Stream of Flames and Toe Biter will get you much more
mileage! If someone played a guard dog, you can play these two together, and it
works like having a Stupefy and Incarcifors. Also if they have small creatures
you may be able to make it play like Stupefy and 2 Incarcifors. So this is a
good combo. We will also keep Vermilious and Stupefy, but drop Bluebell
Flames since it will be tougher to use early
on in case you play a speed creature deck. With Halloween Feast out now, Hagrid
and the Stranger is pointless, so we will make that move also. You have a
healing deck and you have good lesson building so Accio is no longer needed.
Elixir, Boil, and Hospital Wing all need to be Bitters. You have enough lessons
and you won’t need it right a way. Snape’s Question would be left out and 2
Dogbreath are better than 1 Draught. Now you have Flitwick, and Stupefy is a
great last second card to use his ability to pick up, but I think 1 will be
enough in this case. And lets trade one of your Vermilious for an extra
Dogbreath. You now have much less of a variety, so the surprise feature is
gone, but you have a stronger arsenal of flexibility in your spells.
You only had one to start with, so we’ll just go
without any.
Now to tell you the truth, I hate changing this much of somebody’s
deck. You had so many singles it was tough to decide which way you should go
here. I will tell you I almost did not do this deck, but you had a great write
up and good spelling, so I felt you deserved to have it looked at!
I
hope this helps you out. Good luck!
