Hey,

No worries Sparky, you are definitely fixable ;/ Sorry guys about not doing a recent deck fix, busy with school and such. I promise you an article in at 2 weeks. It’s sorta something that I’ve been itching to do. I’ll tell you more about it later, now then, to the deck:

I’m not a super awesome guy on high-end stall decks, but I start playing them just for this fix.  Lesse:

Characters:

I like McGonagal for this deck, but remember guys, Mcgonagal does NOT always work great in all decks. It nearly eliminates the adventure threat, but not completely. A skilled player will know how get around this popular starter and coax you into using the power to soon. However, I think the Amazin’ Abbot could really help get those needed cards to finish the guy off or stall him till he’s done.

+2 Hannah Abbot

 Spells:

Ahh…the core of a high-end Stall, the spells. You must choose very carefully with your spells, since it is what you will work with a lot. Hmmm…I see a chunk of cards that depend on whether your opponent plays Potions, like Snape’s Question and Potions Exam. I say it once, I’d say that would be bad, but actually it’s alright in this deck because you might get rid of those pesky Potions cards with Obiliviate or Potions Class Disaster (which, obviously, I’m going to add). You haven’t utilized the full power of high-end cards (when you have a high powered deck, you have to commit or it wont come out right), so that we gotta fix. You really got a lot of stray cards, and as I say, BE CONSISTENT.

An excellent card that could do well in this deck is Potions Class Disaster. A nice combo is when you have 12 power out, is play Obliviate then Potions Class Disaster. This forces the opponent to have to not only discard their hand, but now they MUST choose 5 cards in play only. Potions Exam is an excellent follow up to this combo, as well as a finisher to clean all the remaining cards your opponent has in play that survived The Disaster ;)

-2 Snape’s Question

-2 Vermillious

-1 Burning Bitteroot Balm

-3 Incarcifors

-2 Malevolent Mixture

-3 Transfiguration Test

-1 Raven To Writing Desk

+2 Draught of Living Death

+1 Stupefy

+4 Potions Class Disaster

+3 Transfiguration Exam

+2 Diffindo

I eased up on the creature defense, since you can hit them mid game with Trans Exam followed by an Obliviate, which is a devastating blow since they have no creatures and none to play. I put a strong offense in case a deck is a resilient type deck and has to be taken out quicker before it can rebuild from a barrage of Potions Exams and Disasters. Diffindo is an awesome multi purpose card that can get rid of pesky adventures or a critical card that is hurting you.

Items

This here is the workhorse of the deck. The Items will provide you with massive amounts of lesson power, and in Winged Key’s case, great protection. Pewter Cauldron and Pheonix Feather Wand are great high-end lesson “shortcuts,” good call on those picks. Invisibility is not needed most of the time if you can wipe out their lessons, so that 1 Cloak is gone…

-1 Invisibility Cloak

+1 Pewter Cauldron

+1 Pheonix Feather Wand

+1 Winged Keys

Adventures

Let’s stay away from adventures since in this case Privet is too easy to solve and you only got 3, plus adventures take up a chunk of your time, and you need all the time you can get to have 10-12 Potions/Charms power in play.

-3 4 Privet Drive

Lessons

Both Potions and Charms are equally needed in this deck, being that at least 3 charms are needed in play for the Wand, and you need a good surplus of Potions for lesson-discarding cards like Malevolent Mixture. So:

+2 Potions

+2 Charms

*Phew!* That was pretty fun, to be honest. For me, it opened up new deck strategies since I wasn’t as familiar with high-end cards as I should be. Heh, I guess I’ve been hanging around my faithful Beatdown too long ;)

The end product is….
