Draco is a really cool starter...but, a really bad backup. As a starter, you
can stall your opponent, taking all of his lessons before he uses them.
Combine this with Mrs. Norris, and you have ownageness!
You could take your opponents Steelclaw he is going to use next turn to win
the match! Or, just take all of his healing cards! Combine him with Owls,
and you have a little mean hitting machine! But, try to put this in a deck
that needs lessons of 6+, and usually, you fail. Try to keep little
critters/spells with this guy, and you could be stalling to success! Also,
combine him with Creatures out + Human Chess Game, and keep taking out his
hand, and you can slowly win!

This Draco has some combos that make it a frustrating card to play against.
It is a big benefit to take a card away from you opponent's hand at will,
but his use can slow your hand and spells down, but can almost certainly
shut down the others. I've never tried this myself but I would imagine a
healing deck with many cheap spells and using Draco as your starter with the
Hagrid Needs Help Adventure could make for a long game but keep you in
control most of the way through. He has always been good with Human Chess
Game and he is great with a speed creatures deck. However in today's game,
he sits further back than he used to.

This Draco, although not talked about much since the release of the new Draco, is
still viable. Most recent decks that use him have Owls to get played quickly while
stalling by picking of dangerous cards from your opponents hand. This Draco is like
an infinate number of Illegibilus, without any power requirment to play. =)
I really only see this guy viable as a starter. If you play him for backup, there's
a really good chance in the current environment that someone will either be playing
this Draco or the new Draco as their starter, and that means you'd never be able
to get this card played. And dead weight in your deck isn't a good thing.

Man I hate this guy! I hate it when my opponent starts out with him that
is. He just makes me feel.... vulnerable. Like a duck facing an M-16. His
ability is quite broken. The problem of course being that it takes up about
half your turn to use. That and you burn your own options to get rid of
your opponents. To say the least, I would say that Draco Malfoy is the
hardest character to use well, but if you can, he is great! The problem of
course occurs when they draw the card they need. Perhaps Racing for the
Snitch wouldn't be that bad of an adventure with this baddy two shoes. All
in all, Draco, you scare me!
