As noted yesterday, this card is 1/3 of the Eel Eye/Beetle Eye/Bulgeye
item combo. Nearly Headless Nick is good for fetching the combo, and
Hannah Abbott and Christmas Feast are nice for reusing it. Hedwig and
Tawny Owl can also recover elements of the combo. The good thing
about Beetle Eyes is that it is reasonably effective on its own outside of
the combo, providing 4 damage for a 5 lesson spell. Any deck that wins
primarily through item damage needs to include this card, along with
Moonseed Poison, Bulgeye, and possibly also Bludger.

Ah, Beetle Eyes. You do 4 damage with this card, and if you have Eel Eyes
out, 13 damage with Bulgeye! The ability to do 17 damage and look at your
opponents hand is awesome. This card fits perfectly into a Draco, Slytherin
deck, and I think every Draco deck has at least 3 of them. Some people say
using 4 actions to get this combo done is too many, but since you don't
discard any lessons, and Draco gives you one extra one, it is totally worth it!

This is a winner whether you are playing Draco Malfoy, Slytherin and or the
EyeBall combo or not. It does not cost a potion and it is a nice little
punch at 5 Power. Many do not realize this, but there are now enough spells
and items available to build potion free Prof. Severus Snape starting deck.
So if you are looking to build something unique, that is not being played, I
just gave you a hint.

Its all fun and games till someone loses an eye! poor beetle! What did he
ever do to deserve that? poor poor beetle.... I feel sorry for him, really
I do.... oh.... am I supposed to be talkin about the card?
well.... beetle eyes is pretty much on the same line with eel eyes
except that its betta cuz it does damage and its fun to psych out your
opponent if your only playin with these and not the eel eyes cuz they might
just lost notes it :) I tried makin a deck that returned my ites to my hand
over and over, but it didnt really work, over all, this is a fairly decent
card. In memory of the beetle, I give this card *drumroll please*

Well, its not bad of a card, 5 potions for 4 damage and you don't
have to discard a potions lesson. But the thing is that this is an item card
and it must go with Eel eyes and Bulgeye potion to work properly, and since
there are many item discarding cards, I don't really recommend this card in
most decks, but if you know how to use it then good luck.
