OK. We start at 5 lessons, lose one, but gain three from our Cauldron,
which puts us up to 7. That doesn't seem so bad. If we have a Potions
Dungeon out, we can even retrieve the lost lesson to be replayed, perhaps
with another lesson as well, if Hermione is our starter. This pot may not
look as elegant as some of its more gilded brethren, but it plays a little
better, and that is what is most important.

This is a very nice Cauldron. You can get it out turn 2, with Borrowed
Wand's help. In Potion/Charms decks, this card is awesome. +2 Lessons, and
combined with Borrowed Wand, you're at 7 lessons after turn 2! The only
drawback is the Potions discard, but it is worth it. Transfiguration kills
it easily, though...

Best of the Cauldrons hands down it is relatively inexpensive and it still
provides a much need boost to you power. This is were the ability to get
multiple cauldrons into play really shines when you get a couple of these
into play you have no worries of having enough power. Still wands are generally
better because they don't have the draw back of discarding a lesson, but the
this card narrows the gap.

AH! one of the old school cards. I remember this was popular when getting lessons
fast was hard. Now we have so many options like Gold Cauldron, Silver Cauldron,
more Cauldrons (to sum it all up) and more wands locations books.. ah!! the list
goes on. This card isn't as popular now as it used to be 'cause most people have
the options to get better lesson providing cards than this cauldron which requires
you discard a potion lesson so you won't reach 8 lesson count but only 7. Bleh I say.
When this card is played early, all your enemies I gurantee will still have their
item/lesson denying cards at hand ready to pounce. All in all more lessons means faster
gameplay which means bigger chance to win.

This card I use, especially if the deck is not containg charms. If it is, I
would go with Dragon Heart wand. You discard a lesson to get a profit of 2
power. It's a little like playing a charms lesson when you have out wand
shop. There isn't much to say besides that if you need a power boost, this
is a good card.

Good ol' Reliable. The 5-7 jump is huge in a lot of games. Works very well
with Draco, Sly as you get an extra action. Sure it eats a lesson and you'd
rather have a Collapsible Cauldron, but that one power difference can often
be big in the game. This seems to work well with Transfiguration decks
because when you hit 6 & 7 with Trans, you have a lot more options available
such as Scribblifors and Caught! Works well with Quidditch as well as it
allows Bucking Broomstick and Cobbing. All in all, a good reliable card
that will prolly see game play no matter what new Cauldrons they come out with.
