As the cost of the cauldrons come down, their play value goes up. At only
three lessons to play, the Copper Cauldron can start speeding up your
learning development right away. Since the Copper only bounces the lesson
instead of discarding it, you aren't punished much if your opponent zaps
your cauldron once it's played. If your deck sports Hermione, the bounced
lesson can often be played with another to result in a four lesson gain in one
turn, from 3 to 7. For developmental purposes, blue wands and yellow brooms
tend to be better. But within green, this is about as good as it gets.

This is an easy card to get out, and is very good. After turn 2, you could
be at 5 lessons, if you replay the lesson you returned to hand. Pewter
Cauldron is better, but with this card, you at least get the Lesson back.

Similar to a bad Borrowed Wand the draw back makes it bad but not unplayable.
Still if you can't find a way to use Charms it is your best early lesson
accelerator and unlike Borrowed Wand you can have more than one of these in
play! Which is pretty cool and makes good if you need power fast and not lessons.

The mini version of gold cauldron. 3 lessons needed to play this baby and it
provides 2 power provided you return one potions lesson. So in other words you
can have 5 lessons 'cause the one lesson can be played again in the next round.
That is an instant 5 lessons in 2 turns if you can pull it off succesfully. Hint
Draco Malfoy item decks. But as I said, playing your lessons / items early can
earn a lost notes or 2, maybe even a picking on neville. The list goes on. But
still early lessons as I said before may even mean early wins.

This card isn't that bad. It's not that good either. In one turn you can go
from 3 to 5, if you play the lesson returned to your hand. It's good that
the lesson is returned to your hand, but if you don't intend to play it,
this card is like a single lesson. If you do intend to play the lesson, it's
like playing two lessons for two actions. This card is alot like a lesson,
except it's an item. You can use this with Draco Malfoy, Slytherin and it
can't get discarded by a card like Evanesce. This card isn't that bad but
it's not all that good either.

This thing just screams Draco, Sly! The lesson comes back to your hand, so
with your extra action you can lay that back down. That's 3 Power for
essentially one action which is just as good as a Dragon Heart Wand. Otherwise,
this thing only advances you one lesson. Might as well put in another lesson
instead of this Cauldron because otherwise you are losing out on actions.
