If you were only allowed one action per turn, while your opponent gets
two, how often do you think you'd win the game? Loss of an action is
a very debilitating game effect. Any opponent that is faced with this
should try to immediately solve it or discard it in some way. The problem,
for your opponent, is they need to have five cards in hand to solve. If you
have emptied their hand with discard effects, such as Purple Firecrackers,
then solving won't be an initial option. If you have a Garden Gnome in
play, then your opponent is suddenly in trouble, as it strips away one card
from their hand every turn. Even if you don't have a Gnome out, their
ability to draw out of this adventure is severely hampered by having less
actions because of the adventure itself. Yes, this can be a nasty little card.
That's why you aren't allowed to play it until you have 5 lessons on the
table. I still like it, though.

It's ok, once you get 5 lessons, they get 1 action...They have to discard 5
cards too, but it does 5 damage to you. Hagrid Needs Help has the same
effect, but they have to discard 8 cards and get to draw 3. So, this card is
for the people who don't have Hagrid Needs Help...;)

Hagrid Needs Help is way better than this card because you can lay it down first turn and they
have to take eight damage (elven if they draw) to solve which knocks out about a 1/5 of their cards
in their library which is good for you. This card is to slow and the effects just aren’t as good.

We were caught on one of our missions. Penalty: Lost 5 points from
Gryffindor and we take 5 damage. 5 lessons in play is quite a bit for one
action each of your opponents turn. 5 lessons from your opponents hand isn't
that much, even though only one action is. 5 damage to you is definately not
good. This card really stinks becuase of the high casting cost. Go with
Hagrid Needs Help instead!!!

Again, lesson requirements aren't cool, but eh. Action denial is awesome, and
if you can combine that with hand denial, you'll keep this going for a long
while. The ugly part is you taking 5 damage when they solve it. Not quite as
good as HNH, but not as rare either.

Action depriving adventures are good! good i tell you! Now.... you're
options are.... Hagrid Needs Help, Locked in, or 5 Points. The reason
these are so good is that even if they are discarded via McGonagall, they
still lose the action and next time they have to solve. I think my personal
favorite is Locked in. Hagrid Needs Help does the most damage, but they
also get card advantage. Of course, some decks want your opponent to draw
cards and some decks just want damage. But overall, Locked in gives more
room for combos and makes the player think more about solving. Now the good
thing about 5 Points is that they have to discard even more cards from hand.
AND they don't get to refill their hand. BUT, and that is a big but.....
you take 5 damage. Think twice about playing this card too freely, those 5
Points can add up and your opponent may win the House Cup. But, if you can
keep your opponent's hand in check and do a good job of it, this adventure
can be very effective.

played in a deck that wants to force its op's to only one action a turn....
