If you are looking to add a flavor card to your deck, you just might like the taste of this. If we assume a "standard" 40% deck lesson ratio, then statistically speaking, approximately 1/6 of the time this card will get two lessons in play, 1/2 the time it will get 1 lesson in play, and 1/3 of the time you will get nothing for your troubles. Except a replacement card, of course. This is actually a respectable early game accelerator, even though it can involve "virtual" pain. It's not such a good draw later on, but the same could be said about lessons. I would not put this into any deck that is light on lessons. It also doesn't belong in decks that don't have many Transfiguration lessons (unless McGonigall is your starter). Otherwise, I would recommend tossing in a copy or two.

I don't like this card. Reveal top 2 cards...discard any nonlesson? I'll take Wizards Cracker instead. Reveal top card of deck, if its a lesson, it goes into play. If its anything else, it goes to your hand. The part about drawing though gives it a slight boost...but Books are much better draw power. And, I don't think having a chance at losing two key spells/adventures/creatures/items (you get my point :P) just to draw a lesson is worth it...

Let's keep this simple. If you need lessons in play faster, use Hermione Granger and Harry Potter. If you want to find an excuse to get some cards in your discard pile before your opponent, then put 4 of these in your deck. To face reality the odds are not that good that you will draw 2 lessons, regardless of how you built your deck. It is not wise to throw cards away for no reason but to look for lessons. Use Accio or something like that and use up actions but do not wastefully throw away good cards to get to lessons. You took a lot of time deciding what cards to put in there, so hang on to them as long as you can.

While Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans was a tremendous invention, the Beans cards, ranks right up there with Wizard Crackers as one of the least impressive cards I've seen. So lets say you have 20 lessons in your deck, and you now draw 2 cards, you know draw two cards. What are the odds that both of them are going to be lessons, quick boys and girls do the math. Well lets say there is a 1/3 chance you'll draw the first lesson, and then about a 1/3 chance you'll draw another lesson, so that makes it a 1/9 chance of them both being lessons. Are you willing to take that chance. Most likely you'll be doing damage to yourself. So instead play a pulling up, put those cards into your hand and then if one of them is a lesson play it. You just saved yourself from discarding and did two damage, that triumph deserves a snack.

AHHHHH.... Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. I was most unfortunate in my youth and ate a Vomit flavored one. Haven't touched them since. Well Perhaps... I might be safe with a nice Toffee. Alas! Earwax!

anywho, Just like Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans themselves, this card is risky. It could really pay off if your top two cards were lessons... put two lessons into play and draw a card. But even if they aren't and you are counting on having some cards in your discard pile. some decks do this ya know :) might not be a bad play for the early start and draw. It automatically replenishes itself, but it does take an action. Personally, I would be more likely to play with something else, but i still havent absorbed all the cards.

Didn't we all dream they would upgrade the Wizards Crackers one day. No?! Are you sure?? Well, if you say so... Let's face it, there are much better ways to get the lessons, you need: Accio, Alchemy, Hermione, Top Student... Why waste a space in your deck that will most likely be useless after turn one to put this card in. I'm not saying the card isn't slightly good, I'm just saying there are too many alternatives.
