Three Month Long Match is a great card if you use Catch the Snitch with
it. But, using it without CtS is very risky. The reward of 15 damage to the
loser is really good, but, there's a pretty good chance that you could
lose the match. If you don't use Catch the Snitch, don't use 3 month long
match. If you lose, thats 45 damage to you, and odds are, thats the game.

I don’t really see this Match being completed in the long form very
often; however if it were to happen, "Game over, man! Game over!"
(A thank you goes out to Bill Paxton for that great quote from the
movie, ‘Aliens.’)
Would it be fun to hit someone with 45-damage? Sure, but not
likely all in one turn, hence the name of the card. Still, seeing
this with Catch the Snitch is a nice addition to the Quidditch
family of cards. A 2-action, 15-damage combo for Quidditch decks
gives them some help against the potion and creature decks. Add
that other combo of Quirrell and Vanishing Referee and your
Quidditch deck has graduated into a true contender.

Matches are usually double-edged swords. If you win, good for you, but if you lose it could be your doom.
Fifteen damage ain't no walk in the park. If you play this card, you should probably run Catch the Snitch to make sure you get it before your opponent gets a chance.
Neville could help ease the pain if you lost, but not everyone is going to play Neville.

Three Month Long Match is cool... having to deal 30 damage to win is
almost unthinkable unless you play with Catch The Snitch. This combo does a
whopping 15 damage. Which in itself is darned cool. Yet, this is
really the only combo the card has. I can't imagine the deck that would count
on being able to deliver 30 damage before your opponent and even if you
did, why would you bother with the match at all? I did think of another
interesting combo... but it would be very hard to work and depends on
about five or six cards in all not to mention all the others you would have
to put in to get the combo going... Diagon Alley, Draco's Trick, Platform 9 &
3/4, Three Month Match and Spiral Dive... that would be an almost
instantaneous kill every time... yet, that counts on your opponent not getting rid of
Diagon Alley and also on your opponent not killing you before you get it off.
All in All, i think a lot of people will be playing the Three
Month/Catch the Snitch combo, but other than that, i wouldnt expect to
see the card played too much. Therefore, the card is extremely powerful
and popular, but also limited.
