This card is often used in conjunction
with matches that are difficult to solve, such as Muddy Practice
or Three-Month-Long Match. Having Nimbus 2000 out boosts the damage
up to 5 per turn, which isn't bad for an item costing only 4 lessons
to cast. Add in some Power Plays and Hooch to run things, and you've
got an interesting core group of cards for a deck. I'm not completely
sold on this card, though. If I'm going to rely on a two card combo
(Bludger + any match) for dealing damage, I'd like to to deliver
more than three each turn.

This is the only non creature card
that has the potential to deal damage every turn. This card was
greatly improved when Adventures at Hogwarts was released, it gave
us Muddy Practice which on it's own is not very good but combined
with Bludger it is very very good. They will either take damage
forever or start discarding to the match which not only wastes actions
but cards in their hand. Once they have discarded three or four
cards to the match then you can lay Beater Grabs the Snitch and
start all over again. Another bonus is that Nimbus2000 bumps the
damage up to five a turn!! Downside is if you play no matches there
is no point to this card other than that this card rules!

The Bludger is under rated and works
just like a creature in that your opponent takes damage at the beginning
of your turn systematically. Most people don't use Bludgers cause
they only use matches with Catch the Snitch. I think they are too
afraid to leave a match out, cause they're afraid of losing the
match. Well there is a match one doesn't have to be too afraid of
losing really fast and thats Muddy Practice. In essence you have
at least two turns before your opponent can solve and if you get
the Bludger out, you could be doing some hard damage and then if
they get close to solving, play that Catch the Snitch. There are
alot of possibilities with this card, and I really like the combo
possibilities.

This hunts and pecks. No it's not
an angry chicken. But a Bludger by any other name would just be
a ball. This card rules when you are playing in the Mud. Muddy Practice
that is. Combined with your trusty Nimbus 2000 you are looking at
some serious pecking order stuff. I recommend playing and treating
this combo like creatures. However beware of this combo if your
opponent is carrying Quidditch too. If they have Catch the Snitch
in their hand
OUCH! And I don't mean discard 5 and 1 from your
hand, either. There are a few other nice Matches to use with this,
but here is my secret weapon. If you have never played a Potions/Quidditch
deck, think of those prevent all damage cards while you have your
Bludgers and Match out. Hmm, very interesting
. My Precious!

I really like this item. A great combo
you can get going is Quality Quidditch Supplies. If you go with
Sly Draco, you can get a bludger into play and do another action
every turn. So after two or so turns you have 3-4 bludgers in play
and then lay down a match. this can become very interesting with
the new match Muddy Practice. At any rate, you can theoretically
win any match if you combo this with the right spells like fouled!
and sloth grip. I made a deck with quid and potions where you actually
win the Three Month Long Match using the eye ball combo and bludgers.
you would be amazed at how fast you can do thirty damage. However,
for most decks, catch the snitch or just everyday damage like critters
or spells often works better.

The only time a bludger is worth being
played is if it's the base of the deck. If you make a deck with
matches and Bludgers, it can be very strong if you've done it right.
4 bludgers out and a match = Fluffy. Even if you've only got one
out it's as good as most creats. But without a match this card is
worthless. So find the right deck and this card has the potential
to beat down your opponent quickly and efficiently. But don't make
a bludger by throwing this into any quid deck.
