I'd like to give this card a try in
a Hermione-led Potions Dungeon deck. However, for the most part,
the sacrifice of the lesson needed to play this card scares me away
as being too big of a price to pay. Effectively, this card costs
four actions to use, and while the opponent can't play cards on
their turn, they can certainly still use their actions to draw cards.
I'd rather have a method to stall my opponent that works continuously,
such as the the one associated with the adventure Human Chess Game.
Until some other cards are made that have synergy with it, this
is one potion you should forget about.

I actually kinda like this card, but
you have to structure your deck specifically with this card in mind.
This card goes very well in a Potions/Transfiguration denial deck
after you Winter Holiday or Potions Exam you can lay this card down
and they are slowed for another turn. Still this card is hard to
find a good use for out of denial decks but preventing your opponent
from laying cards is just so much fun and most of the time darn
useful. If you want to play this card in your denial deck do put
be warned that creatures still do damage so be careful.

This is another card that works well
in a Potions/CMC Fluffy deck. The other is Jawbind Potion. The only
premise is, work to get fluffy out, and then lay some prevention
cards to prevent your opponent from getting rid of your fluffy.
I mean 12 turns of damage is pretty killer and your opponent will
be helpless to remove Fluffy if you play Forgetfulness Potion and/or
Jawbind Potion. They can make a lethal combination in allowing your
fluffy extremely long life while allowing you to keep on doing what
you do best, winning.

Well, it is like this if it cost me
an action to play a lesson and an action to play this card it cost
me a turn to keep them from playing a turn. I realize Hermione Granger
and Potions Dungeon could be used, but I think that there is just
too much going on to work toward this one. It is nice to have when
your opponent is facing an adventure that is killing them on drawing
and it won't let them play against it, but I won't even get into
how many turns and actions all that is gonna take
. Next!

I really like the idea of this card,
but it never seems to work out for me. I haven't tried it since
Potions Dungeon came out, so maybe it is worth a shot. Negating
Game play is always nice especially if your opponent has some penalty
for drawing such as Diagon Alley, Peeves Causes Trouble, or that
long forgotten card, Snuffling Potion. Hey... why haven't we reviewed
Snuffling Potion???? that thing has promise and has my name in it!!!!
Anywho, i definitely suggest playing with this card, i just haven't
had much luck with it unfortunately.

Forgetfulness Potion is a pretty good
card, but it does have its dark side. First, you have to discard
a Potions, so you have to have one out to begin with or this card
aint gonna happen. The good part about it is, next turn, youre
opponent cant play anything. The bad part of this is it doesnt
say that they "have to" draw all cards that turn, they
can use items in play, watch for that. Another thing about it is
you REALLY might need lessons because its 7 of Potions. Although
this spell isnt recommended, its still a pretty good
card.
